Great stuff, gentlemen. Always enjoy hearing you talk Joe. I mentioned over at the StarJoes board that there's a new episode of Loikamania where Pat interviews Costa and Gage about the first Cobra miniseries, some very interesting conversation.

John Carter should have been marketed to kids, the only reason my boys wanted to see it was because I did. For the record, they loved it and they've asked to see it again. I mentioned somewhere else that the marketing folks really didn't know what they were doing, when I told a co-worker I'd seen it and explained the connection to Burroughs, his comment was "The Mars books? I read those as a kid. I need to see it!"

Darrell, you really should give Tin Tin a chance. If you like Indiana Jones, I think you'll love it. I was blown away at how much fun it was.

Thanks for teaching me about Eiffel Towers, let us never speak of it again.

good one guys. loved the Joe discussion. I'm enjoying all the books currently, but some of the faces are a little wonky. Eiffel Tower = yes...
I have not seen John Carter, will wait for the DVD. I did check out Comic Book Villians (reccomended by Jon) and I thought it was ok. Its not a great movie, but it was ok. will I ever buy it? no.
Cant wait to catch up in person at Baltimore. Next i-tunes review Darrell must watch a movie that Mike picks out and report back. LOL!!!!

Until the next episode.

I could not agree more with Mike on Justice League Internal #7.

I was starting to be disappointed with the title because the team seemed to start very dysfunctional (as they should be) and then in just the first mission they were working better together. Then by the end they were all getting along. Too quick for my taste. So I loved the fact that just when they thought all was right with the world, BOOM, disaster hits. While I did like the Rocket Red character, I agree with Mike that it was a bomb going off, so you almost needed a hero to die to show what a real threat these people were to the team. Plus, he was hooked up to his suit, so how do we know Rocket Red won't come back as like a "ghost in the machine" type of character. Maybe he will become his suit. And Vixen is going to be fine. She'll tap into some healing animal and be fine. Plus even if she can't walk anymore, that doesn't me she can't be a hero anymore. Look as Oracle. She was still a hero. What are you guys saying, disabled people are less than human and therefore can't be heroes? You are evil people for saying that.

I thought this was the best issue of this series so far. The issues before it were just okay. This gives them a real threat to overcome and they always say when people are at their lowest is when you find out who they truly are. I think that's what we're going to see in this team. I liked that they cut the ties to the UN. Those representatives were just that, a tie to the UN to champion the cause. Now we'll see what happens when the team has no one to rely on but each other. I agree with Mike that you have to put heroes through complete hell for them to be truly great heroes. This team hasn't been through that hell until this issue.

And you guys are crazy on the cover art. It's beautiful. The short forearms are called perspective. You are looking down at Booster and his arms are out but also down as he cries out, so the forearms will look shorter from that angle. It's a beautiful cover.
