I'm currently reading Bendis avengers stuff and I'm quite enjoying it. Although I've never read avengers before so maybe he did do a poor job of it, I don't know.

Picked up issue 4 today. Hell; I picked up a TON of books today. I'm saving this for last.

OH MY GOD. This series is simply amazing!

There were moments where i actually chuckled out loud, and one section of the book actually had me a little choked up. Funny, sad, kick-ass and bittersweet... I'm loving this book.

Yeah, it's an awesome book. The mixing in of the old-school team has really created some incredible dramatic tension, and it gives us a chance to explore the characters like never before. I still chuckle when I think back on some of the teenage Ice Man dialogue. And the exchange between Wolverine and Storm. And even the little beat between Magneto and Magik. And the pages dealing with Scott's mental process on first seeing the younger version of himself and Jean was done perfectly.

There were a lot of great books released this week; many of them some of the best comic work I've seen in years. And this issue is the best of the bunch.

Haven't got round to reading issue 4 yet. Man it is good so far though.

Issue 4 was boss. Don't see the point of Angel here though.

LOL I find old-school Angel to be the most boring member of the original team, myself. Still, he's a core member of the original team, so ... I guess they couldn't say "OK guys, let's do this! Except you, Warren. You stay HERE." Personally, I think it would be awesome if present-day "reborn" angel turned back into Archangel, and stayed that way. That would leave the stage open for kid-angel to do his thing.


I've finally finished reading the (relatively) huge pile of books I picked up this week, and it's official: All New X-Men #4 was THE BEST of the bunch, surpassing Saga by an extremely thin margin.

They should have. Scott should have gone "look Warren you're cool and everything and I.like you but myself, jean, hank and bobby all have pretty important roles and add to the team dynamic whilst you're pretty inconsequential. Plus someone really should stay here to keep Xavier company. You ok with that? Of course you are. Even if you're not, what are you going to do? Flap your wings in my face? K thanks bye."

Another good issue. Though Bendis sure likes to stretch the plot out over these issues. Thankfully it's coming out about every week.
