Spoilers
While this will include Spoilers this is dialogue driven and I find this journey intresting to follow. Themes that were pre-establish in other X titles plays a small but pivotal role. As everyone can tell by the cover this issue deals with 60s Cyclops and Mystique and right from the opening we get a Scott who is trying to play the role of his older self well in means of trying to access his present self lock box at the bank. A little fanagaling with the one teller who supports mutant rights and bingo Mr. Summers this is your life as his original goal was to load up on whatever cash and perhaps the shades as with knowing that running around looking like public enemy number 1 is not the best course of action. If so has he always had those glasses stashed? And Does anyone know if those are the original ruby quartz glasses that Sinister made? Anyway through the various items he finds what we find out is Jean and His wedding invatation. As Mystique reveals herself in a most clever way of posing as Wolverine and taking charge of the situation in a most humorus way that had me laughing all the way to the bank. A few panels in and were seeing Bendis write Mystique every shapeshift serves her intentions. The understanding mature black woman, Himself as a leader, and one of that rebellous teenager that which Scott can Identify with. As a manipalation tactic it would seem Cyclops has much to question and with both young and old off balance pehaps the seeds are already sown for an all out civil war. Which as we find out was all Mystique set out to do freeing her and hers to go about a much more neferious operation that we dont know much about except for the fact that Mystique wants to end Wolverine and his school bigger things im sure are brewing but its nice to know that the brotherhood now have a presene in what has been weaving in and out of Uncanny X-Force and WATX. With Wolverine picking up Scott and getting back to the Jean Grey School we get a glimpse of Kitty training up TO5 but her attention is mostly attached to Iceman in this installment and while I enjoy the dynamic between the budding romance of her and Bobby. Ms. Pryde showing up young Bobby (I think Drake is the one X-man that would cheat on himself) leaving a weirder love triangle than Scott, Logan and Jean. At the end with Scott's emotions all over the place he passes Jean giving her his wedding invitaion soldiyfying the fact in both their minds that they were in fact happy and married at one place in time While I enjoyed this issue and the ideas and plot it sets up for later down the line while it is a little slow in some parts I think as an over arching read it will play out better in the future. Never the less really enjoyed this as far as the next issue seems like they are going to bring in the avengers im hesitant as this arc of story already has so many characters to focus on taking off that to repreasent the Avengers one of the reasons why Wolverine does'nt need to be an Avenger but im biased on this front as I know of right now they want to make X-Men and Avengers one brand I just hope that these great stories wont be tainted by that, we all remember AVX the wounds are still fresh. We will see
