Since I haven't listened fully yet (and not going to for a little bit), still hope they will look at this Acts of Vengeance Cap issue (if it's not too late):

If we're not one, but two, are we evil or good? Do we walk the fine line that we'd cross if we could?

Kapow was the name of the convention where DC made the annoucement.

Banner had control of the Hulk, but Loki was cotrolling everyone on the Hellicarrier and brought the Hulk out. Black Widow even mad a line about it.

Scarlett played Black Widow in Iron Man 2 not just Avengers.

Thor made more money than First Class and some of the oher X-Men films. Shows where people are when it comes to heroes.

Way rights work is Fox owns all the rights to about 99% of the X-Men catalog (meaning everyone important is taken. But if they made an Avengers Academy movie Whiz Kid or Richette could show up. Only big names left could use is Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch for a Marvel Studio film.) Since both Doom and the name Galactus (though we never saw him just shadows) were in a Fantastic Four film, which was made by Fox, there for both villains are own by Fox.

Wasp cannot he used because the Antman film is still in development and they did not want to use those charcters before their films. This is Marvel Studios rule.

The First X-Men is a 5 issue mini series not an ongoing. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page ... e&id=38809

And you forget, Infinity Gauntlet was in Thor in the treasure room. Avengers 2 can be Infinty War.

Great episode; loved the Avengers talk. You guys are one of the few podcasts that I listen to multiple times when new episodes are released. Thank you! :)

Good show guys!

First X-men is only going to be a 5 issue mini.

Haha! Qatar is pronounced Cuttar. Not Keytar like Rob said.

You only read two Fastballs from the forums. :(

These were the first retros with the new iconic(at least for me) Marvel comics logo.

I'm all for going back to three retros.

I took the first Hulk transformation to be more about the unexpectedness of it. Banner was thrown from the blast, and injured. He couldn't control the transformation and he was pissed. This carried over to the Hulk persona.

The second time he completely controlled the transformation and was in a calmer place beforehand.

You guys didn't like Thor? I thought it was pretty good. Not the best but fit into this world they are building and was a lot of fun.

Other than Avengers, Captain America is my favorite of the Marvel movies. I'm a huge WWII buff so this was in my wheelhouse as well as being a big Cap fan.

I have two comments on the comment about people seeing Avengers and seeing that they are caught up in this huge crossover
1. Unfortunately people don't flock to the comic shops after a tentpole movie. Sad but true
2. AvX is pretty contained. You could read the main mini and get all you need. The crossovers and tie-ins are pretty limited. The only mini that they added was Vs. and you could skip that easy. If you're reading the X-Men books or Avengers books then the tie ins add to the story but I don't feel I'm really missing anything.

Like was mentioned before Avengers Assemble is a pretty accessible in-continuity book that has ties to the movie. It's a lot of fun and pretty all ages friendly.

The money is on Alan Scott (Golden Age Green Lantern) being gay. He was seen in Earth 2 running a media empire.

Personally I don't really care about introducing gay characters or gay characters being married. As long as they don't make the change come out of nowhere it's fine with me either way. I do think what both companies are doing this as a publicity stunt. Unlike Rob and Brian I don't like it when superhero comics mix too much political/social commentary.

There are also a lot of indie non-superhero comics that do a pretty good job with that. I treat superhero comics as an escape.

I think the only thing with this is,these particular comics are In the real world so some social/political commentary has to take place.now if it was a galaxy far far away then it would be kinda weird because in that instance who's to say what the status quo is.

great episode guys.

I don't think Bruce controls hulk, hulk controls bruce.

This episode teased the idea of having the heirs of Perillo and Briscoe take over the show.

I'd love a segment with the X-Cast Babies standing for the regular hosts. I'm thinking a reading of an "Inside the Mansion" with their favorite character (character of their choosing). It would be like a school book report.

That or answering a "Fast Ball Special." I'll let you guys explain those F/M/K questions.

I used to work the overnight shift, and caught myself doing 120 down the highway at 4am. Didn't mean to, just...wasn't paying attention. Thank God no cops were around.

A buddy of mine use to have an oldsmobile that we could get up to about 120. Lot of nice back roads here in the midwest you can take and have fun on, not condoning its just what we use to do.

I've been up to about 110 on an interstate in Georgia; I-16 is a super straight road, and boring. A friend of mine was following me driving back to college one weekend, I was in a Nissan Sentra, he was in an old Ford Bronco II. (anyone remember those?) I know my speedometer went up to 110; his only went to 85, but he kept up. He said the needle was pointed straight down, and everything in the car was shaking. haha.

On a random note: which episode was the one that CGS put up back in the day? I think it might have been 34. That's how I found the X-Cast. If so, this is the 100th episode for me! Wow!

Talk of the eldest children hosting the show, mention of Rob's niece reading Power Pack, a surprise reference to Weezie's interview having the second highest number of downloads...I feel like this is building to something huge!

The part where you guys discussed autographs made me feel kind of stupid. If I were ever to meet Rob and Brian I had planned to ask them to sign my copy of Uncanny X-Men 413. I can imagine it now, Rob thinking to himself, "this guy is such an asshole. He wants me to write 'nuclear bomb' on the cover?" Always cool to hear stories about Brian's NBA career though.
