Yeah in the comics when he first enlisted he was like 19 or so. I guess I attribute it to artists wanting him to be able to command respect and be a leader. Harder to do when you are considerably "younger" than your teammates. Also could be that the frozen in time period aged him very slowly.

I've always dug WW2 helmeted Cap. Love the wing detail on the sides, nice way to pay homage without the silliness that it would be if done exactly.

Yeah, I mean when you think of the mask from the comics, it would have been hard to pull off without looking like the Flash TV show or something like that.

I'm glad they didn't try the scales as well.

We had a "comics accurate" costume



This one is much more "Real life" and has some utility for the wearer in WWII. I like it, a lot.

I don't love or hate the helmet. I really like the rest of the costume though.

I like the helmet. The part around the eyes is a little funny but it's meant to be a WWII helmet that also protects Steve's identity. Hard to do both. It looks like it came from the 40's. As much as I like the classic Cap look in the comics, it doesn't look like it would be something actually worn in 1942. I always find it funny when watching cop shows that SWAT shows up with full armor and busts into a house and the lead actors maybe have a vest on but no helmet and are right there in front.

When we get to the modern era the helmet goes away. All is good.

Love it, its not skin tight, the gloves and pouches look utilitarian. Lets just hope Cap remains an acrobat.
