saw the ultimate cut of Watchmen over the last couple of days on the way to work. Although the extra stuff was good from a fans point of view I can see why it got cut. The Black Freighter stuff didn't work very well for me but I can't quite put my finger on why.
Anyone know if Alan Moore has seen it yet?

I watched The Naked Gun yesterday.

I had forgotten how funny that movie was.

Assault with a Concrete Dildo?!

"Bingo!"

Naked Gun is pure inspired lunacy.

So I watched 'The Big Chill' the other day for the first time.

A lot of people tell Me how good this movie was.

I really didn't like it. All it was was a bunch of whiney 40 yr old making jokes about how their friend killed Himself.

Though Goldblum and Klien made it semi-watchable.

Other than that I was very bored.

I watched Batman: Under the Red Hood this morning.

I liked it. How he came back in the toon was much cooler than in the comics. Bruce Greenwood was a cool Batman, too.

I've tried to get through Under the Red Hood twice now, and it put me to sleep both times. I can't explain it, I love Batman, but something here isn't clicking for me.

I can't get Under the Red Hood as WB won't give movies to Netflix until a month after their release. That angers me.

Too bad for both of you. I really liked it. It's high on my DC list.

As a whole, I think the DC animated movies have been mostly good, but not great.

I am the co-host of the TWO TRUE FREAKS PODCAST . I have been alternately described as a "hellish jumble of mismanaged parts" and a "humble God".

I watched Batman under the Hood as well. Watched it my 2 yr old and it might have been a little gritty for a kid luckily he is too young to tell! But we enjoyed it, fun little flick.

I saw (500) Days Of Summer last night--FANTASTIC movie. It's absolutely hysterical, and yet well acted and performed and all the characters felt real and three-dimensional. The last line might have been a BIT too on-the-nose, though, but that's just a nitpick at best. Also, after seeing this, I'm COMPLETELY hyped for Webb taking on the new Spider-Man movie. If it has even HALF of the talent and emotional pathos of Summer, then we're in for a massive treat, IMO.

I've had enough emotional pathos in my Spidey movies(and I loved the Raimi films). I want one liner action Spidey this time around. Give me a kick arse Sinister Six movie, I need to see Kraven, Vulture and Lizard this time around.
