Watched all six parts of Monty Python:Almost The Truth, an exhaustive documentary about Monty Python. If you are a fan like me then this is a must-watch. Its been on IFC a few times.

Watched the MST3K episode Operation Double 007 starring Sean Connery's brother Neil Connery as a hypnotist...and The Film Crew episode Hollywood After Dark with Rue McClanahan from the Golden Girls as a stripper!!

The White Stripes documentary Under the Great White Northern Sky. Love the band and this doc is full of great music.

Spirited Away. Still awesome.

Anyone seen Paper Man with Ryan Reynolds? I saw a trailer for it last night, looked pretty good.

I watched Paul Blart: Mall Cop. The title pretty much says it all. Now I have to watch Observe and Report, because apparently that was the better mall cop film of that year.

Watched The Big Lebowski (Netflix HD) for the first time in a few years last night. Very funny stuff, with a great cast. ****

Then it became zombie night. Caught Day of the Dead (Netflix) and quickly realized that I'd never seen it before. Pretty decent stuff, and much better than Diary of the Dead. **3/4 I thought I had it on DVD, but when I inspected, it was Dawn and Land that was in the collection. Then I watched Dawn of the Dead and had fun watching it again. ***1/2

I'm thinking of watching a couple more zombie flicks tonight.

Another week, the wife got another Tyler Perry movie, Madea goes to Jail. It's the kind of thing you'd like if you like that kind of thing.

More zombies!!! Watched my DVDs of Land of the Dead and Shaun of the Dead last night. Both were enjoyable, although I like Shaun quite a bit more. Funny + Zombies = Awesome combo. Land gets *** and Shaun gets ***1/2

Sitting here watching National Lampoons Vacation (the trip to Wally World).

I forgot how funny this movie is!! It is full of subtle humour as well as the ridiculous over the top stuff!!

I just watched Mystery Team. I actually found it quite funny.

Earlier this week I posted that I saw Paul Blart: Mall Cop. That and Mystery Team were obviously going for a "stupid funny" vibe. Watching both so close together, it's interesting to see how one film can succeed in that endeavor and another fail at it miserably.

I watched Kick-Ass last night and it was ok, my husband loved it. The movie did fall apart at the end but it was a good way to spent the evening. I also just finished season 6 of DS9 and am halfway through season 7 of DS9. Let's see I watched Revenge of the Nerds on friday and the last two episodes of Warehouse 13.
I am a geek girl, deal with it.

With this past Friday being a Friday the 13th, I decided to make it a Jason weekend. I watched Friday the 13th parts 1 - 7, Jason X, Freddy vs Jason, and the Friday the 13th remake from last year. Lots of fun, mindless killing.

Watched The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Excellent flick. I hope that Fincher's American version lives up to this. It didn't feel like a foreign film, except for the subtitles of course. Excellent acting and story. Catch it if you can on Netflix Instant Watch.

Scott Pilgrim is a sharp, smart, hysterical geek love letter. The casting was perfect. There wasn't any charater that wasn't interesting or well used (Scott's room mate being My personal fav.) music was awesome and it was shot so amazingly.

This is one the summers and years best movie.

1000 outta 10.

A simple plan was darn good, 2 out of 5? Really? In regards to the spoilers, the whole film was about how money and lies can corrupt even the most level headed of people.

Gamer was funl, could have been better, but still enjoyable.

Kick Ass was way better than I expected it to be considering the source material didn't rock my world, the movie was superior to the comic.

Caught Expendables and The Other guys this weekend. Expendables was everything it promised(Awesomeness!), The Other Guys was pretty darn funny.
"I believe in Rock And Roll!"

"The Gods you worship are steel,
At the altar of rock 'n' roll you kneel.
A slave who forever rocks,
Is chained in the devil's locks,
And slain by the bloody axe I wail!"
