As a pretty devout Catholic(I'm not perfect, but I try to learn from my mistakes), I can't watch that Jesus Camp documentary as religious fundamentalism of any type scares me, regardless of where its coming from. Count me in for the Pro Wrestling one though!

Yeah, Wrestling With Shadows is excellent. Good stuff with Bret's thoughts of turning heel and all the other stuff going on with the change in direction, during a hot period for the company leading into the Attitude Era. And it just happened at the same time of Bret's contractual drama with WWF, which led to the Montreal Screwjob. Really fascinating stuff, and now I want to watch it again.

The Green Hornet - CRAP! The plot is predictable and formula, Seth Rogan has written the Green Hornet's character as a buffoon and it gets old fast. The 3D is there just to take a few extra bucks out of your pocket. Kato and the villain are okay and have some charisma, but Rogan is all wrong as the hero. Gondry is an interesting, stylish filmmaker and he's wanted to make this movie for YEARS and when he gets his chance, THIS is what happens? Come on! Seth Rogan - you have promise- but you're going to turn into Jack Black in about ten minutes if you don't watch out.

Watched a few movies lately:

Just watched the remake of Clash of the Titans. Not bad, and certainly better looking than the original. Pretty good action. Liam Neeson was great as Zeus, but there weren't any other memorable acting performances. The two goofs that were supposed to the "comic relief" weren't at all funny. This version also lacked a certain charm that the original had. Not something I'll have the urge to watch again any time soon. **3/4

Watched Donnie Brasco for the first time a few weeks ago. Really good stuff, starring Johnny Depp and Al Pacino. Can't believe I waited this long to finally check it out. ****1/2

It's A Trap, Family Guy's take on Return of the Jedi. Much like the original trilogy, it's good but not as good as the first two. Still plenty of laughs. ***1/4

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight back-to-back on blu-ray after the Saints got knocked out of the playoff. Awesome stuff. Loved these movies. BB - **** TDK - ****1/2

Machete on blu-ray. Ridiculously over-the-top fun. A lot like Black Dynamite, with more blood. ****

Checked out The Social Network earlier this week on blu-ray. Outstanding movie. ****3/4

After listening to Better In The Dark's recent podcast on Pulp heroes I vegged out with The Rocketeer, The Phantom and The Shadow today. Yeah, it was fun. The Phantom and The Rocketeer really deserved sequels.

I finally watched 28 Weeks Later. Didn't like it as much as Days, it had an entirely different tone

I had seen 8 of the 10 pics nominated for best picture, the 2 I hadn't were King's Speech and The Kids Are All Right. Loved King's Speech and HATED The Kids. Bored to tears by it!!!!!!!!!!

From the Netflix. Amos and Andrew, 93 movie with Nic Cage and Samuel L Jackson. Pretty good, a bit dated (one would hope) but interesting.

The Mechanic: Jason Statham shoot em up. Review: See the summary, that's all you need to know.

King's Speech: Sweet movie about two friends working on one's speech impediment, oh yeah he's the King of England. Well acted. Usually prefer my movies as Homer Simpson says "Less Artsy, More Fartsy!" but this was good.

Saw "Phantom Of The Paradise" and "The Black Swan" both were completely awesome. A good double feature about how far people will go for their art!
