True Grit 2010-very, very good, but I'll still take The Duke.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-The Henson Company work on that flick still looks great. Movie is so much fun.

Jonah Hex- Wasn't Terrible wasn't good it was sort of just there. I have read several Johan books and maybe i just missed it but does he have the ability to talk to the dead in the books? I think this movie could have been good if they would have done a western and used Johan as the main charactor.

Drive Angry- Take Smokey and the Bandit, add Spawn, add Wicker Man (the original) and add some awesome and that's what you got. If that mix sounds like your kinda thing, go get it. Seriously, won't last long.

Watched Robin Hood, starring Russell Crowe, last night. Very interesting to see something outside of the heroic tales. I liked it, but don't think it was great. Very good, definitely, with good action and some decent humor. Cate Blanchett was great as Marian. Didn't go over the cast, but there were plenty of familar faces that I just couldn't place.

And today became a movie day:

Watched Superman/Batman: Apocalypse on Netflix early this afternoon. Wasn't thrilled when I first heard this was getting made, as I'm not a fan of the comic story it's based on, but this turned out pretty good. Checked out Reservoir Dogs for the first time afterwards. Really upset that I waited so long to watch it. Followed that up with Date Night, starring Tina Fey and Steve Carrell. Had a few decent laughs, but it wasn't as funny as I'd hoped. Just finished watching Death at a Funeral, starring Chris Rock and Martin Lawrence. Very strong cast, and it was hilarious throughout. James Franco and Danny Glover were great in supporting roles.

The Best of the Best films are awesomesauce. The first one is one of my favorite flicks to watch, greatest training montages outside of a Rocky movie ever! Alexando Grady is a badass!

Over the last few days I saw:

Tangled: Good, but I didn't realize it was going to be a musical going into it. Quite a few laughs though.
Despicable MeI I also recently saw Megamind, but while that one was good, I enjoyed this one much more.
The Road: Not a good flick to watch right before you go to bed; too unsettling.

I love Best of the Best 1 and 2. 1 was a relatively serious movie with some 80s cheese, 2 is just straight up ridiculous, but then again, where else could they have gone. Its great to see Eric Roberts as a good guy too.

If you're an action fan, Game of Death starring Wesley Snipes and Zoe Bell is pretty good. Much better than I thought.

Love me some Zoe Bell, added it to the NetFlix queue, sounds like a fun one. If you dig on Zoe Bell you should watch Angel of Death, great flick.

I finally got around to watching Inception and I really enjoyed it.

I have one thing to say about the ending though . . . I think the top fell.

Finally saw The Mechanic. I enjoyed it quite a bit. After hearing the so-so reviews, I wasn't expecting much, but I dug it.

Then again, I do always "add a star for Statham"!
