I just finished "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo". Very interesting film. I almost read through the plot summaries of the other two books till I saw that they've already been filmed. I think I'll just wait till they show up on Netflix like this one, no need to spoil anything :)

Saw Toy Story 3 and Predators last week. enjoyed both. Toy Story 3 a little more. Toy Story 3 is as great as everyone says. Beautiful.

Predators hit most of my action prereqs (Explosions and fist/sword fights) No car chase, but foot chases enough to satisfied.

Anyone see In Bruges? I've heard good things. Comes out on Blu-ray today I think.

Been on a Martial Arts "kick" recently.
36th Chamber of Shaolin, great, even with the very abrupt ending.
Fist of Legend, fun update of the Bruce Lee's Fist of Fury, great fight sequences
New Police Story, Jackie Chan trying to be a little more serious, worked well enough and had an interesting group of bad guys and some good action.
Flashpoint-Donnie Yen trying to salvage an incredibly boring undercover cop story and an action movie with almost no action, SKIP this one if its on your Netflix instant queue.
Street Fighter with Van Damme-I f'n love this movie, and I don't care what anyone says. A fun throwback to saturday matinee style adventure and a great scenery chewing performance by Raul Julia.
Next on the docket, Ninja Assassin, which I haven't seen yet, but I can't wait for.

2012. I'm not a big fan of this guy's films, but they seem to be getting better. The dialogue was very predictable and corny at the start (and still hung on throughout the movie), but when John Cusack showed up, there were some good lines, and not just funny ones.

And the earthquake scenes might be the best special effects I've ever seen.

Saw Inception. Excellent.
Wife rented "I Can Do bad All by Myself" Standard Tyler Perry, which is fine with me.

Yeah, i've caught the Tony Jaa flicks, man is awesome, and anybody who can make a movie about a guy rescuing his elephants from becoming exotic food and turn it into a great action flick is aces in my book. Cant wait to see how the Ong Bak series follows up. I've caught some of the fights from Ip Man, but I still need to check it out. I noticed in my post the F bomb is edited, my apologies for that. I'll definitely be more conscious of my language.

Watched The Invention of Lying this morning. I enjoyed it, but felt the populace was way too open. It's one thing not to lie, or even fathom telling an untruth, but to volunteer so much information to questions was a bit much.

I started the Wolfman the other night . . . couldn't get through it. I had things come up.

I hope it gets better . . . right now (I'm just after the main dude get's bitten and he's all healed up) it's all just atmosphere and mood music.
