Leroy cosplaying in spandex? PICS OR GTFO. :P

Speaking of costumes and going out with the Normals--one Halloween I dressed up as the Joker and went to my college. That was all well and good, but what I also did during that day was go to this event that a school group I was part of did, which got newspaper coverage--so I was in my local paper, wearing my Joker make-up. :D

I don't think Clooney would have been a bad Batman--he just had a bad script and direction. Same with a lot of the actors in those Schumacker movies, really; even Schwartzenegger, and really, the Freeze in B:TAS probably did just as many ice puns as he did in the movie.

Speaking of which--Vikkii, no one saw him as Governor material, but considering that during that election his two other leading candidates were Gary Coleman and a porn star, he kinda was the most sane option.

On Harley in Arkham City--she actually reminds me a lot of Pris from Blade Runner.

It is funny though, that you mention the problems you have with Harley showing more skin, but you don't mention Selina having the girls all out on display. I don't HATE it, it's been done a LOT recently in the comics, but it's something that I just don't see Selina doing on her own. To me she's far more of a vicious tease. She MIGHT zip down her costume a little bit, show a little cleavage, after you've chased her half-way across Gotham City get up close and whisper sexy nothings in your ear--and after that she'll claw at you and then continue rooftop hopping. THAT'S Selina Kyle.

Yes, I LOVED Pfhifer as Catwoman in Returns. Hell, I'll argue that the love story between her and Batman is the best love story of ANY superhero movie ever made so far.

So far, the best Halle Berry movie was Monster's Ball.

Smallville...I just don't give a crap anymore. He really should have just been put in the costume at least three or four seasons ago, from the looks of it.

In a similar vein, I did get into a different, semi-non geeky show--Mad Men. You watch it, Leroy? If you don't--WATCH IT. IT'S FREAKING AMAZING.

I'm pretty sure it did go through a whole season of Blade--I specifically remember seeing a season finale. It was pretty good, though--Sticky Fingaz (and I think THAT had a lot to do with the hate for the show, that guy's stupid rapper name) grew into the role pretty well, and it was well written (I recently found out that Marv Wolvman and Geoff Johns wrote episodes for it!).

True Blood--I saw the season finale with my mom, and I've seen bits and pieces of it in the past. It's dumb, but I will give them this--they know their audience, and so they fill the show with a lot of nudity, and sex of both straight, lesbian, and gay varieties. Oh, and they also have werewolves now, as well as meth-head were-panthers, witches, and fairies, the last one possibly being trans-dimensional aliens. Stupid, sexy fun.

YES I AM EXCITED FOR WALKING DEAD. SO EXCITED.

You know, Vikkii, if you were evil, during that time when that girl you baby-sat was forcing you to watch all those Disney flicks, you should have just pointed out all the things from your dissertation on that and just completely ruin her childhood. :D

I think I stopped caring about Heroes about the end of the third season--the whole shock ending with Sylar "turning" into Nathan was just so mind-boggling stupid to me that I thought the people writing just didn't give a fuck anymore, so why should I?

I would love to see a videocast of this, if not just to see what I'm sure is the pretty face that goes with the gorgeous voice of Miss Vikkii. ;)

Great episode, guys. :D

1st post. :D

Great episode guys. I do want to comment a few things here and there. I do agree that Smallville is probably the most successful superhero television show but you also have to consider that a lot of the other shows were on major networks and their lifespan just wasn't the high depending on when they came out or ratings. Besides, while I guess we can debate this til the cows come home, Smallville seasons at best were very up and down, hit or miss with the audience.

Arnold as Mr. Freeze was horrible. It was simply a bad casting job. The only reason he got the role was because it was written for him in mind. Yes, they used the tragic background but all of the bad puns he does throughout the movie were so cringe-worthy that it was pathetic. Arnold would have made a much better Bane than Mr. Freeze. The bottom line was the castings of Batman Forever and Batman and Robin weren't horrible. Well, some of them were. (Alicia Silverstone) The bottom line is that both of those movies were badly written and badly directed. I don't care what Joel Schumacher did before or after these movies but he's horrible.

As usual, great show as always.

Another thing. Leroy, dude. When Vicki comes to visit, you are going to take her to wherever she wants to go. ;)
Seriously though. I know as a rule New Yorkers don't do the touristy thing but let me explain why it's not all that bad. There is a lot of history to the city and when people come to visit, they want to explore that history and see the kind of architecture that they simply don't have where they live. Yeah, they can be annoying but honestly, tourist foot traffic is really no different than morning work traffic. You never know. You might enjoy some of the things you do. My wife really enjoyed the Statue of Liberty.

I'm only going to be at the con on Sunday so I won't be there to see the Cyborg Superman. I would be curious to see how it turns out. Pics please.
