Rock Dungeon 64: CC B. Demille Presents-That Epic 70s Show

Postby Reddjakk » Thu Jul 01, 2010 5:34 pm

Presented for your listening pleasure is Wade and Mike's homage to that fantastic decade of Leisure Suits, Lava Lamps, Disco, Hip Huggers, Bell Bottoms, Star Wars and sex without consequences. The boys dig deep and ride long into the night bringing you several layers of seventies songs redone. They have ten songs suggested by listeners and over forty of their own. Three and a half hours of 70s bliss. Dig out your disco ball and enjoy.

We try ...but if it is not in the episode just ask in a post and one of us can clarify. In some of our episode we play stuff that is way out of print or only released on LP. We have a a USB turntable and over 3000 lps so that can happen and if you really like it we can hook you up with mp3s... but only if it is not easily acquired through normal means

This will be perfect to listen to on the drive home from work tonight.

And then the drive to work tomorrow.

Then the drive home from work tomorrow night.

Then there's the drive to work on Saturday, and the drive home Saturday night.

Plus I'll have the drive to work on Sunday, followed by the drive home from work Sunday night.

Then I should have the episode done. :)

You want a rocking Styx remake?

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. They do Come Sail Away on thier album, Ruin Johnny's Bar Mitzvah.

And it rocks.

A favorite cover of mine was Easy Like Sunday Morning by Faith No More. Other ones that come to mind for me are:

Sympathy for the Devil: Jane's Addiction
The Devil Went Down to Georgia: Primus
Hurt (NIN) : Johnny Cash
Pesonal Jesus: Johnny Cash

I'm thinking my favorite covers album is Renegades by Rage Against the Machine. Some good stuff on there like How I could ust Kill A Man and Pistol Grip Pump.
