VIdeo Games for the Holidays

Postby Ken » Fri Dec 03, 2010 11:49 am

Did you or are you buying any video games as gifts? Also, do you have any on your wish list?

I already bought:
Kinectimals and Kinect Sports. These are "for the family" but Kinectimals are mostly for the kids. yeah, right

Also, I got Tangled and iCarly for Nintendo DS for my daughter. TRU has a pretty good buy 1 get 1 for $5 deal on selected games this week. I also got a few used games on the buy 2 get 1 free from GameStop.

I don't ever expect to get any games, mainly because they know I get what I want anyway. The Kinect itself was the big gift, but we set it up early. Glad I did, everyone is loving it, even my video game phobic wife.

I want the new Assassins Creed. I fully expect to have to buy it for myself.

I got the kids Lets Dance Vol. 2 for wii.

The nephew is getting a DSI, so I am getting him Mario Kart so the three kids can race each other.

I got a Kinect and Your Shape Fitness Evolved as an early Christmas gift for myself (it's coming out of my future Christmas/B-day money).

Had my last straw with You Shape's poor accuracy (and I've tried EVERYTHING to fix it. It just doesn't register moves to the point where I can't advance past a tutorial), and am putting it on ebay tonight. Getting Dance Central to replace it as my fitness game.

I'm tempted to get Kinectimals for my daughter. I think she'd LOVE it.

I have been hinting to my wife to get me the new Goldeneye which I hear is awesome and is the first Wii game I have wanted to play since Super Mario Bros Wii. I wouldn't mind getting the new Assassins Creed especially since I have played the previous two in the series but I don't know if I feel like dropping $60 on it right now, same with Fable 3.
