Nice! My work day just got a whole lot easier!

And my God, that pic of Picard and Scott is terrifying!

A slave who forever rocks,

And slain by the bloody axe I wail!"

I am the co-host of the TWO TRUE FREAKS PODCAST . I have been alternately described as a "hellish jumble of mismanaged parts" and a "humble God".

Hey for the next TOS ep there's six novels leading up to the ep.

The first set has the one I mentioned last month, and the second set has the aftermath of the first and with the Klingons and Federation going down the path towards a massive war.

They're good stuff.

That book sequence actually has me very interested.

I like the move to two monthly Trek episodes. Don't know how you guys have the time to do it all!

Comic book podcast? Okay...
Green Lantern comic book podcast? Better...
Green Lantern comic book podcast about the 1990's comic run with an emphasis on Guy Gardner and Kyle Rayner? Now that's finding your niche!

TWICE the Star Trek Monthly Monday?! Can the Earth itself withstand such an onslaught?!

I actually saw the remastered "Wink of an Eye" when it was airing on UPN or MyTV or whatever. I was really digging the remastered ones week to week, but this one ground that to a halt. UGH. I just remember thinking that it was very cliched and the sort of episode which non-fans would consider to be typical Star Trek. I ended up not being able to finish watching it and at the time I wasn't super disappointed, so what does that tell you? I guess I should watch the entire thing before I pass judgement, but bleah!

Finally finished listen to the two episodes and had a couple of thoughts...

1. "Soylent Orphan...It tastes like loneliness." I am glad that I didn't have a drink in my mouth at the time. :D

2. On Kirk dodging the phaser, it doesn't seem to be that uncommon to be able to dodge phasers, especially in the TNG episodes. I can recall two episodes, one with the space slugs that are controlling Admirals in Starfleet and the other where Tasha, Data, and Riker are trapped on a planet with a self-replicating drone that is programmed to kill them, where characters (and the drone) easily sidestepped phaser fire. If I recall, Picard was one of the people who dodged a phaser blast. And it always confused me, since the phaser is a sustained beam of energy, as to why people firing phasers didn't just hold down the trigger and sweep their target until they hit them. That way even the crappiest of shooters could be effective in a phaser battle. Also, I agree that when they shoot the phaser in the accelerated state, the crew should be able to see it appear from nowhere, and also be pretty worried, as it could have taken out a random crewman or piece of Bridge equipment...

Joe -- I'm liking the new seperated format of the two series. I know it's a long way down the road, but is there any chance of covering the other series in the same way when you are done with TOS and TNG? -- Anthrax

Do you guys plan to add the original Star Trek graphic novel Debt of Honor to your reviews of the DC comics ?

I like the new format guys. I don't remember either one of the TNG episodes although I know I have seen them both because I watched the entire first season. My memory is for crap when it comes to certain things and I guess Star Trek is one of them. Still good eps, good conversation.

And we need more SPACE HITLER!
