The Killing (AMC)

Postby DackJaniels » Tue Apr 05, 2011 10:52 am

I watched AMC's pilot for The Killing and its not bad. Some good characters, high production value, seems like it has alot going for it but with just the pilot available thus far its hard to tell where it might go. Its got me watching at least for a few episodes...

Damn, I forgot about it. I'm sure they are replaying the pilot...I'm not even sure I want to get involved with another show. I still have 2 seasons of Fringe on blu-ray untouched.

Its also available on AMC's websight... I guess it still is. From a time standpoint I was reluctant as well but AMC has been doing some pretty damn good TV I felt I would be remiss if I did not give it a look. It was good and damn if I don't want to know where its going to go...

So far it has me sucked in. Good production and a lot happens in a short time, yet it does not feel rushed in any way and the story flows well.

I enjoyed the first 2 eps. Love how it just rained the whole time.

For anyone who hasn't seen the first two hours yet, they're available to watch free on AMC's site right now.

I just watched this week's episode and it holds up from the premiere. Seems like it will be good, but I am curious how a show will sustain for 1 murder? Or is it going to be a new "Killing" each season?

The last couple eps have been really great. The pacing started off a bit slow for me but now I'm totally digging it. Fun characters, good writing and acting.

AMC has another hit in my eyes. Now just bring back Rubicon.

caught the first two episodes off of PSN for free. It seems like a pretty interesting story, the political aspect of the story intrigues me. But all in all it seems like pretty standard fare, cop last day on the job has that one case they cannot let go of etc. etc.
What I do want to know is if she is ever going to make it to California or if she is going to end up staying in Seattle the entire season.

I love the slow burn pacing of the show. Really well done.
