As a whole...I think Identity Crisis was an interesting idea, but not executed all that well, especially for the DCU. Like, if Meltzer tightened up some of the plot holes and did something similar to Watchmen, where there were analog characters taking up the roles of these properties, not only would it have worked better, but Meltzer could have probably been able to get away with more.
It's interesting seeing someone encountering all these characters he never seen before and feeling apathy--maybe it's because when I first read it was more getting into comics, but I really enjoyed finding out about characters like Enlongated Man and all that.
Yeah, that whole Deathstroke vs. JLA fight was really stupid. It's pretty much the story that made me utterly despise this character outside of Teen Titans Go.
