Michael Bay posted on his forums that another change is coming for our favorite ninja reptiles and that would be the name. Instead of 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles', Paramount wants the movie called 'Ninja Turtles'. Below is what Bay had to say:

Paramount marketing changed the name. They made the title simple. The characters you all remember are exactly the same, and yes they still act like teenagers. Everything you remember, why you liked the characters, is in the movie. This script is being developed by two very smart writers, with one of the original creators of Ninja Turtles. They care VERY MUCH about making this film for the fans. Everyone on this team cares about the fans. Just give them a chance. Jonathan the director, is a major fan of the whole franchise. HE'S NOT GOING TO LET YOU DOWN.

Wait, how is Bay attached to this now? If he's not writing or directing what is he? The producer? Im still skeptical but if Eastman or Laird are Involved in the script and Bay isn't the director I suddenly feel much better about this

The set for the upcoming toys is now available for preorder on BigbadToyStore for $39.99. The 4 turtles. Just sayin. :). I ordered them and the party van.

I totally agree. I swear few people working in film have their heads out of their asses. They all want their "stamp" on the film. How about making an original property to do that on? Why mess with something that already has everything set up for you? Just makes no sense.

Looks like you may have a chance to get some Turtle history (the first TMNT sketch) from Eastman, if you can afford it:

I started my new TMNT sketchbook at Emerald City. So far, I've got pieces from David Peterson and Tom Fowler. Since Peterson is doing the covers for the micro-series, I thought he would be great. The yellow is just low light. These are all in 1 sketchbook, which is my new way to go.

I love David Peterson's covers on the Turtles. I wouldn't mind seeing him do a Turtles story arc or mini.

TMNT crossover with Aliens....yeah, I would read that.

Now I know what that turtles sketch reminds me of. In Lord of the Rings the first time you see the those massive elephants coming out of the mists when Frodo/Sam/Golum see them. That's what it reminds me of. Only this is way cooler.
