Revolting comics: they have been doing this for a while now. They redid Claremont and lee's x-men #1 last year. I am almost certain you guys talked about it last year when they announced it. Also they recolored the entire simonson run on Thor for the omnibus, and it looks amazing.

The recolored Absolute Watchmen looks pretty awesome, too.

I feel like the new coloring is hit or miss for me. I love the recolored Thor Omnibus (what I've seen, since I'm not shelling out the cash for that) - but I got the recolored X-Men #1, and I prefer the original. They tried to go too fancy, and they brought it down. The scenes with Cyclops in the "War Room" watching the other X-Men in the danger room sequence - I hated the darkening. And any scene in the blackbird that was like they had no lights but red readouts illuminating them; I don't really care if it is more "realistic" - it just looked too dark for me.

The recolored Thor Simonson Omnibus is a perfect example of why this should be done if possible. It's very impressive. The price isn't too bad. Less than $70.00 on Amazon with free shipping. GIven how many issues are included it's quite a bargain.

Also the Dark Horse Chronicles of Conan have recolored the artwork and it looks very nice as well. Really shows off that Barry Windsor Smith art.

I also was not overly impressed with X-Men #1 recolored. It wasn't bad, just not as jarring as some of the others.

I would love to see it on the Claremont/Byrne stuff or the Claremont/Smith/JrJr run.

I'm 100% with rob on legacy, it's probably my joint second x-boom at the mo' with uncanny x-force , and watxm holding the top spot. I'm kind of dumbfounded that brian had such dislike for it... as for the gambit/frenzy stuff... that's been alluded to since Carey brought Frenzy into Legacy as a regular character.

God, the retros have been bad recently... the Asgard and judgement war arcs have dragged so badly! I can't wait to get into the Cable stuff, which is where i first got into the xbooks...

Right, i'm off to see Avengers at my local Imax now... bwa ha ha!

Which item would you like to win most?

Mine would probably be Absolute All Star Superman Hard Cover. (Brain, I'm jealous).
