Episode 70
Rob: "I want an A-list black character. Name someone that's not the Black Panther."
Brian: "Storm."
Rob: "Yeah, I forgot about her... but they're drawing her white, anyway!"
Rob disliked Weapon X #3 because it was so far removed from dealing with his origin, while Brian likes it for that reason. Rob now finds the book to be irrelevant. The hosts seem to flip flop on each issue, something Rob noted in a later podcast.
Rob read Dark Wolverine on his own, and said it was fantastic. Brian hits on something about Daken that I agree with: How can he be so worldly and yet be so misguided about his father?
Brian has a shitty comic shop experience. This same store also marked X-Force #1 as $25, X-Force #2 as $15, and the rest at $10.
In X-Factor #36, Rob thinks Ruby Summers is coming back to the present with Madrox.
They decide to dump Weapon X in exchange for Dark Wolverine.
They mention Flick Chart, which I started today.

Episode 71
Rob started his college job.
They discuss the Walking Dead comic coming to AMC. Rob wonders the same thing I did when I heard the news: "When did AMC start making good shows?"
Rob gives the news of a S.W.O.R.D. comic six issues.
Rob says no one's reading or cares about Marvel Cosmic stuff. Brian disagrees. I remember hearing this years ago and being irked. Now, I just laugh, as I know exactly how Rob is, and how hes prone to blanketing statements and hyperbole, and love him for it!
They discuss the Peter David-Orson Scott Card team-up. Brian: "We wouldn't have a show if it weren't for Peter David. He gives us so much to talk about."
They tried Dark Wolverine #75-76. They think it's okay. Both feel it's better than most Wolverine titles. Rob strongly feels that Daken is going to get his comeuppance at the end Dark Reign. Brian opposes him, and bets that Osborn will have the upper hand.
InCable #17, Brian thinks it's more interesting with Hope as a teenager, and feels she's a fleshed-out character. Rob doesn't hate it.
They still like X-Men Forever (#5). They love the art and feel Claremont has a good grasps on the characters.
They enjoy Uncanny #213, and noticed the lack of reaction from Cyclops regarding Emma's betrayal. This fuels Brian's theory that she's a mole.
We get X-Men Password, with CGS' Peter Rios vs colorist Brian Reber.
In the Retros, Mutant Massacre didn't end the way Rob expected. He compared it to Empire Strikes Back.
Rob thought Ex-President Abraham Lincoln was going to be a horseman of Apocalypse.
They interviewed the comic shop Fallout Shelter at the end. I'm not sure why. I guess they were curious about the goings on in a shop?

Episode 72
Peter David actually left a message.
They X-Force #18.
Brian: "There's no grave show more in X-Men comics than Doug Ramsey's."
Brian thinks Ramsey will have a lame techno-organic-based power-up. He wants to see a writer take Doug Ramsey's power to the next level, such as reading an opponent he's fighting. Rob agrees that it would be cool.
In Dark Avengers #8, Rob thinks it's fun, but hopes there's something deeper beyond the obvious telegraphing of Emma being a double agent.
Rob's still not a fan of New Mutants (#4). He feels the characters are just cardboard cutouts of themselves. Brian disagrees. Rob feels the book is irrelevant, and ordinary. Brian agrees the that the first arc was a bit ordinary, but thinks that Rob is biased against the book.
They both hated X-Factor #47, with the Summers Rebellion and everything.
We had an Inside the Mansion with Cypher.
Brian says that Doug is going to have to be aged up when he returns.
If we're not one, but two, are we evil or good? Do we walk the fine line that we'd cross if we could?
