Aw, some much for Team Renly. That was an... unexpected and woefully lackluster end to a promising start.

My sister-in-law was just telling me last week that she was rooting for Team Renly. I can't say I blame her, as he was the more charismatic of the remaining Baratheon brothers. I actually like the inclusion of the Amazonian-like warrior, Brienne, and thought she paired well with Renly. I was already picturing King Renly; Queen Margaery; Captain of the Kingsguard, Brienne; and Hand of the King, Loras. Alas, it all fell apart rather quickly.

How much fun is it to watch Tyrion slap that jerkwad Joffrey in the face. Love that part.

Those Stark boys love to be falling for the wrong girl. Did that wildling girl seem far too pretty and well-groomed to be a savage? I'd expect those northern people to be missing teeth and ratted up hair.

Seeing Joffrey get mugged & then slapped was the highlight of the entire show thus far. Also, starting to like the Dog dude. I'm getting the feeling he's gonna be a Wolverine type.

Also, the sailor prince dude, he went from being likable to being a massive dick in record time.

Theon is pretty fucked. I can't imagine though, what it would be like to grow up like him. And to come back home finally, only to find out your dad thinks your sister is more of a man than you? It's no excuse for betraying your friends and burning a kid like a marshmallow, but clearly he is damaged.

Speaking of Betty Draper, what miserable person she turned out to be.

The series is getting exciting... we may actually see a battle next episode. The Siege of the Red Keep. It'll be like the Battle of Helm's Deep in "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers."

We're down to the last 2 episodes of the season, right? I can't tell if we're still in book 2, or if we've crossed into book 3. I know what the next few rounds of OMG will be, but I have no idea what they're going to wrap this season with.
