Im gonna jump on the band wagon that schism does not end with AvX. That would be a waste of a storyline and make for a weak resolution. If anything AvX should stretch the schism further because Wolverine & beast are working with the Avengers.

I really liked the Mandarin cameo. It's always fun to see the X-Men fighting villains who are usually the nemesis of different superheroes/groups. I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've ever read a Mandarin issue. My only experience with him before that was Marvel Ultimate Alliance

I think the free digital copy with your purchase of a floppy is good for those who want to try and keep their comic mint condition, and still enjoy reading it without having to be very careful. For a collector, it's a good offer.

I'm a big fan of the easter eggs. We just had a dry run of not having anything worth throwing at the end. So of course it's just our luck that talking to Rios brings out 2 different ones.

Brian, when did you go back and buy Uncanny X-Men #266? The East Coast Comics advertisement in X-Men #1 lists issue 248 at $10 and issue 266 at $2. The latter was listed at $4 in the advertisement in X-Men #4.

It might have been a bit later than that by the time I got all of the issues. 248 and 266 were outliers for awhile. Then again, paying $10 for a comic back then would have been a big deal to me.

Anyway as a side note Rob & Brain, I met my wife on Yahoo! chat. They used to have a comic book chat room that we went to. We started talking when NYX (first series) came out. She was an artist, and I was trying to get her to draw my scripts. We met IRL about a year later, and things went from there. Don't know if you care, but I thought I'd share anyway.
