My main shop had me scratching my head. Nice selection ofthe FCBD comics, but only allowing people to take 3 comics, period. What gets me is usually there would be something like a spend "X" dollars and get 3 more, or spend "X" dollars and get 'em all. But they didn't do that this year and I don't see why not. It seems like a good incentive to try and get people to spend some money while they're there.
Also, the shop is running a back issue sale of 25% off, but if you pull 50 or more comics you get 50% off. 50% off back issues is sweet, but they're running the sale this week. Why not run it on FCBD when you have more people coming into the shop? You have them there now, try to sell them on some stuff. Heck, the run the same sale again the following week to try and get them to come back again.
I know that retail is tough, and some comic shops are really struggling now. But it seems like there was a big missed opportunity here. Its not like you're going to make any money by keeping comics in the boxes.
Just my thoughts.
