Yeah, I didn't realize but their aren't really any Avengers comic book podcasts out there. Unfortunately you are still lost in a sea of Avengers movie and television podcasts.

Yeah I don't dig those "torture porn" horror movies either. And anyone who thinks watching a movie where people sew their anuses to others mouths is interesting... That's just people I don't want to know.

Holy shit! You got your own EMP hip hop track! That's when you know you've made it.

Alex, I know Family Guy kind of fell of after the relaunch, but check out some episodes of this latest season. I swear, its like a brand new writing team, and it doesn't fly off into completely irreverent nonsense. Each episode follows a point A to B story and tackles a specific point of controversy all throughout. I know how you feel, and I wouldn't recommend returning to any other season then this one, right now.

I haven't seen the first, but Jeepers Creepers 2 was hilariously awful, and a weird mix of homophobic and homoerotic.

Like the new theme, even if it means there probably won't be anymore fun parody sketches/intros from you guys. :(

I pretty much stopped watching Family Guy after that weird-ass 100th episode. That I really think was the period where McFarlane basically went, "Fuck it, they'll watch whatever I put out anyway." I will say that McFarlane is fairly handsome, though.

Battle Scars #6 -- I had to give this a read after hearing what happened...it was alright. I think the idea of Marcus literally becoming "Nick Fury" was fairly stupid. I would have bought it more if maybe they found out his real name was Marcus Nicolas Fury, and people started to call him Nick as a nickname. Making Cheese Phil Coulson isn't inherently a bad idea, but I think they made him in the comic too bulky and action-star like. What I think was the draw about Coulson was that he looked like a pretty normal guy who was really a total badass.

Avengers #25 -- Picked this up to see the Simonson art--this was pretty damn good, I thought. Bendis really stepped it up and delivered an issue that had his trademark dialogue and characterization, but also had some good action and solid action beats to create a good piece of serialized fiction.

New Avengers #24 -- I liked the Luke and Jessica interaction. I think I would be more interested in this crossover if this was the direction they were going to go, especially since this personal story seems more like Bendis' forte, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

AVX #1 -- Solid intro. I wish they could have put a little more work in the Cyclops and Cap scene, so it'd make more sense that they fought that quickly.

Yeah, Cyclops is a little nutty, but that doesn't make what's going on with him less interesting for me.

I dunno, I think pretty much every Mutant in the Marvel Universe are perfectly justified in pulling the race card. No other minority group in either real or fictional history had to deal with their government creating 60 foot-tall giant robots with the sole purpose of killing every single one of your kind.

Yeah, I recently reread Planet X, and her being the Phoenix had NOTHING to do with Jean dying. In fact, Jean dying and manifesting herself as the Phoenix is what saved the Earth from being plunged into a twisted alternate future.

AVX #2 -- Some impressive and fun fighty-fighty. Loved Aaron's purple prose.

AVX Versus -- I like the tone of it, but I don't think it's worth the cost.

Secret Avengers #26 -- Enjoyed it--the art was weird in places (and apparently the artist prefers to draw Beast as gorilla-Beast, not cat-Beast, which sucks), but I dug it.

New Avengers #25 -- Guys, I have read Immortal Iron Fist and I was still a little lost.

Alex's idea on dropping Academy and New for West Coast Avengers by Christos Cage...isn't that what we basically have with Academy, though? I don't know the roster of that group by memory, but it seems like a lot of them with the exception of Hawkeye are already there, with the Academy kids, it just seems even less necessary then turning the Thunderbolts to the Dark Avengers.

Agreed with Alex on Liefeld--he seems like a nice enough dude and his passion for comics is apparent...the problem is that he really can't make any good comics without another writer and artist interpreting his ideas. Compare him doing everything on Deathstroke and him "plotting" on Grifter and you'll see a world of difference.

Liefeld is "co-plotting" the Avengelyne book over at Image, which isn't technically an Extreme title. I've actually been following , which is actually pretty decent.

Viet's Haiku this episode...absolute genius. :D

Good episode. :)

So Namor is actually siding with Cyclops rather than Cap.... I am completely confused by this... He has known Cap for 60 years and fought in a major war... Former Invader, Former Avenger... He is choosing one teenager over the fate of the whole planet, this is completely out of character!!!

Just read Uncanny X-Men #11, it only made it worse... This creative team is a horrible group for writting Namor. I feel they ignored most of his old self...
