The summer movie blitz has arrived. We take on Marvel's Avengers and save the world from... not Skrulls. Alex and Ryan defend the airwaves with their SPOILER filled review of Avengers. I liked the 3D version. That way you get the digital projection and the way it was went to be seen. 2 extra bucks isn't that bad either. Also 3D ass shots look so much better then those flat 2D asses.

Overall I really liked the movie too. I have no major complaints beside the start of the movie is a little slow but not that much.

The way they got around the time thing for Captain America was saying he pretty much stays inside scared of the real world. I'm sure in the next movie, they'll cover this like you guys said.

Haha! Tough New York accented Spider-man was cool. Not one mention of Spider-douche though by Ryan.

Good review and I hope you give Andy a hard time about missing this episode.

I didn't mention Spider-douche cause Queens Spidey woulda totally kicked my ass.

Andy didn't even see the movie yet. He was dead to us this episode.

Apparently te reason the aliens were not called skrulls, is that fox owns the rights to fantastic four characters, which includes the skrulls.

Yeah, same reason other characters will probably never show. Just seemed like a strange rip-off Skrull badguy

Well they were the chitari, which ARE the ultimate version of the skrulls. And since they first appeared in ultimates, not ff, Disney had the rights. So for all intents and purposes the aliens in the movie were the skrulls.

Hey, it worked as faceless villains to be cannon fodder. I would watch hulk throw them around all day.

That was my other complaint. I was confused whether those were supposed to be Skrulls are not.

Am I the only male that did not find Black Widow "hot"? Too many are looking thru "nerd glasses".... she's maybe a 7 at best... Certainly not a 10 (or 15). She's kind of "chunky" in my opinion...so, you have a strong female character who is mildly attractive and wearing a skin-tight outfit in the ultimate geek movie....that does not turn OK into "smokin".....but what the Hell do I know?

Obviously, not much in this case. Scarlette Johanssen is very attractive. Thow tight clothes and combat skills, you get SMOKING HOT! I would give her a 9.5.

As for your bro... he opted out of this ep (and actually the next) because of his business trip (and he was too cheap to go see the movie).

I don't know, Scarlette Johanssen is hot to me too. 9 on my scale. I also though Maria Hill was pretty hot even though she didn't show any skin unfortunately.

If they cast a spandex wearing Whoopi Goldberg in a good comic-book film, I'm pretty sure she'd go from a 3 to a 7 with you guys.

On the plane flight back from Puerto Rico, we were forced to watch "We Bought a Zoo" and I thought Scarlett looked better in that than in the Avengers.

In any case, they did a great job with the film. Also, I've read that most of the 40 minutes or so of the "directors cut" are scenes of Cap dealing with life in the modern world. Not sure yet ( of course) if any of that will be on the blu-ray or if they'll save for Cap 2.

ps - did not care for Spidey ...but I'm not a huge fan of the voice stuff anyway...you can put me down as the old crabby geek
