ok in most stories the middle is the climax, were going to be in issue 5 so they are going to cram in the climax and spend the next 5 or 6 issues on resolution but I feel like it doesnt matter. The story so far is the xmen getting their asses handed to them.No one trully has a solid argument.the only one having any fun is nemor and apex (is that the name?), which was friggin hilarious (uncanny). Where the hell is Wanda? And wolverine really pissed me off, trader.

ok I had to rant, now I'll go read my new xbooks.

I would'nt say that Wolverine is full blown tratior as he is looking for a way around killing Hope and the fact that he did'nt attack any X-Men and the only one I see him going after besides Hope would be Scott. And knowing that Cyclops wont do what is necessary. So he called in the Avengers the ol canuck might surprise us yet.

It just seems, couldn't Wovlerine have left with Hope on his own and try to figure out a solution.

I figure Wolverine's done about the best he can do at this point by following Hope's wish & getting her off the Earth. Assuming the Phoenix is coming for Hope, and not just cruising to Earth for a little planet-eating action, the move has bought everyone a little time. I guess the question now is, do they kill Hope in the hope that it will make the Phoenix loose interest & turn around? Or do they keep hope alive and let the Phoenix do its thing?


I wonder what would happen if they waited until Hope & the Phoenix were joined, then had Magik teleport them to Limbo?

Whats really fucked up even Hope is like its too much asking logan to kill her and Cyclops just blast the shit out of Wolverine.
Scott is just so sure that the Phoenix force will save mutant kind except any other time it has lead to death and destruction. Im gonna laugh when Mr. Summers has to swallow all this up and admit that he was wrong from the start.

Not saying im not digging this story although when AvX4 at the end it looked like they might all band together but no they just all start bickering like their a team from opposing high schools. (Yes I know Logans team or who decided to be with him their main base is a school) Now the actual question at hand Is Cyclops and his team full blown hosts or are they all cocooned down in the ocean

Is it just me or does Magneto have some major brass balls to be calling anyone a traitor.

As for Uncanny's side or the Extinction team it seems like just a very unlikable team throughout this entire run. Oh Namor and Danger yeah they need to go somewhere and not show up in X books for a very long time.

I've never understood the "Phoenix only leads to death and destruction" argument personally. When it first appeared on Earth, it possessed Jean, and healed the M'Krann Crystal, which saved all of reality. Point in the Phoenix column. Sure, she turned Dark Phoenix and killed the broccolli people, so that's a negative, granted. But Jean sacrificed herself before the Phoenix could destroy the Earth, so that shows that it can be controlled enough to do what has to be done.

Since then, Rachel has been using the Phoenix power forever, no one ever worried about her destroying the Earth. Jean was even manifesting Phoenix qualities in the Morrisson run, no one ever ran to kill her then. So they act like all the Phoenix does is blow up planets, but it's been under control for most of the time it's been in the comics.....

The way the 1st chunk of this story has been so anti-X-Men, it would not surprise me at all if something happens to prove the X-Men right within the next few issues.

Slipstream while I was wrong in stating that it only brings death and destruction it as well can bring about rebirth and creation. I was just under the mindset that usually when the Phoneix is brought in the ladder usually happens. My whole thing is why Summers is ready to embrace this at a drop of a pin for the slim chance that it saves mutant kind and if so at what cost he is still an X-man and leader to the rest. And being an X man I at least hope that was still about bringing on a future where Mutants and Humans could coexist and to use their powers for the good of all. As far as this arc is concerned I dont think the Phoeni-X Men are on the way to play a game of baseball.

The rule of thumb with Marvel is, whichever side Spider-Man's on is the one that the writers want to be in the right. He may switch sides at some point, but there it is. Double points if he's on the same side as Cap.
