It's in the Netflix queue. I won't have much to add until I see it.

I am an avid watcher of all the Timm-verse DC animated films, so I'll definitely get to it.

I enjoyed the movie a lot actually I have been a big fan of the DC animated movies …fan maybe stretching the truth… I have more accurately watched all the movies. I have really liked a few of the DC animated movies and been disappointed by most. I think the voice acting, the animation, and the characterization of Superman and Lois is one of the best I have seen. The Superman and Lois both are written with some humor and relate-ability, which has not in my opinion been very common for either. I thought the writers and the voice actors to a good extent perform a good job of making Lois likeable and strong at the same time. My experience of the way Lois has been portrayed in the past is either very bossy and obnoxious, or outright unlikeable… to anyone but Clarke for some reason. In this adaptation the viewer is shown why this couple would work so well. Clarke is often characterized as so perfect that his character lacks the motivation or reason to improve in anyway; in this portrayal I felt he was more of a human character. Clarke displayed that he was jealous of the attention that the “Elite” were getting and self conscious about the way they were getting this attention.

I was, at first, wary at the casting of George Newbern as the big blue Boy Scout, as he is not the typical guy, but I agree, the voice acting for Supes was great. No problems there.

I didn't like the Elite that much (not that I should). Cocky Brit with Union Jack tattooed to his chest. Overt sexualized mechno-medusa-looking hag. Angry black man. Drunk Asian. The Elite = Yawn.

Final sequence felt forced; beating you over the head with what is 'right vs wrong.' I had to laugh at how much Superman demolished Metropolis. Who's going to pay for that damage? And I always love seeing the Fortress of Solitude; the ultimate Man Cave.

Newbern did Superman for all four seasons of Justice League/Unlimited.

It was OK, not great. My issue was the animation style. Wasn't that big of a fan. Also Pauly Perette as Lois Lane didn't do it for me.

Worth a look on Netflix. I'm sure it'll be on Instant Watch before too long.

Looking forward to Dark Knight Returns Part 1.
