Writing for me becomes something I can't quit, and the best advice I can give you is to write everyday. Don't tell my employers this but I've written complete scripts for original graphic novels while at work.

Chuck, you mentioned during the episode (and before I'm sure) that Spider-Man is your favorite superhero. I'm curious about how you feel about current Spidey stuff. He was absolutely my favorite hero growing up. The only comic I ever had a mail subscription to was Amazing when Erik Larsen was drawing it. When I came back to comics in college though I heard about Clone Saga stuff... every once in a while I'd look around to see what was going on and hear something that didn't sit well with me, the worst being One More Day. I wish I had more Spidey in my life (heh) but what I hear keeps drivin me away.

That's awesome. I hear so many good things I'll have to try Slotts stuff sometime. He seems like a cool guy as well. I do miss Spidey.. Like I said, he was my favorite by far as a kid. I've been catching up with the last six years of Xmen, my favorite team growing up, through the Uncanny Xcast, so maybe I need to do the same with Spidey sometime.

As for favorite hero since coming back to comics, it's probably Wally West.

I will agree with Chuck and just about everything after One More Day has been great, and I hated One More Day. I would have preferred a divorce if they felt the need to separate the two characters and get rid of the marraige. It would have been more realistic, and I think more identifiable for people (which is what Spider-Man was always supposed to be...the everyday guy who got powers and his life still didn't go right).

I would definitely recommend trying out the stuff by Slott.

I love Wally West. He's my #2 character in all of comics.
