The A's blow. I'm surprised Billy Bean hasn't traded away any player that's doing decent this year so the team can continue to blow. Money ball aint working anymore when the rest of the league pretty much does it to.

Please MLB, please let them move to San Jose. For the love of god let them get to a bigger market with a town that wants them. Screw the Giants and their claims that it's their territory. Oakland is actually closer then San Jose ya d-bags.

My Phillies are 8 back of Washington (Washington?!?). It's been a rough season so far for the Phils. But of course they've been on a run for awhile before this season.

The Nats have drafted, signed and traded well the last couple years. It's like the Rays but with more high profile names.

I got to throw out the first pitch tonight for the Bowie Baysox against the Reading Phillies. The Baysox are the AA team for the O's and it was star wars night. So I was there as part of the 501st presence at the game and they wanted a star wars character to toss out the first pitch so I screamed ME! It's not the majors but to finally stand on a professional field and throw a pitch, well, mostly a pitch since I wasn't allowed to stand on the mound, had to stand in front of it. God, it was fantastic. The Baysox who was the catcher for the throw complimented me on the zip I had on it and how accurate it was. I was thrilled. Of course, he could have been saying it just to be nice but I did throw it right over the middle of the plate and I don't care if he was being nice or not, it was one of the coolest experiences of my life :)

That is awesome Grubb. I would love to be able to throw out the first pitch at a game. What a fun experience.

Totally awesome man. The catcher was probably being genuine if you threw it over the plate given some of the first pitches I've seen.

Was anyone standing around the plate Grubb? Because I would be tempted to give them some chin music.

Nope, it was just the pitcher who was playing catcher. Would have been cooler if someone was in a batter's box

Who watched the AllStar Game? I made it through 6 innings. Managed to see Carlos Ruiz catch Dickey but missed the other two Phillies Hamels and Papelbon who pitched just after I passed out. Not a very exciting game but it often isnt. I'm definitely a National League fan though so the win is cool.

Stupid NL

I watched it on and off while America's Got Talent was on comercials. I'd have watched more of the game then AGT but the wife threatened me. :(

It's nice to see the NL win because Chuck and I like NL teams therefore it is nice anytime they win :)

For me it was more like.. Well that was a boring shutout but at least the league I was rooting for did the shutting out.

In other news I went to the AAA Allstar game tonight with my dad. It was cool to be there but it was another shut out but this time not the league I was rooting for. Tom Seaver threw out the first pitch to Ryne Sandberg so that was cool.
