Just watched Public Enemies, starring Johnny Depp and Christian Bale, on the DVR. Pretty damned good flick. Probably need to get the blu-ray now.

Just saw District 9. Wow, I loved that movie! I expected to be disappointed after hearing a few reviews saying it didn't quite live up to the hype. But I THOROUGHLY enjoyed it!

Rewatching Stalag 17- It is a great WWII picture from 1953. I would highly recommend it to fans of Von Ryan's Express and The Great Escape.

I just saw a really strange film, "SouthLand Tales". It has a lot of famous actors in it, as well as the Rock.
The film is just, well weird. I can't tell if it was good or not, anyone out there seen it tell me what they think of it?

I watched Blue Velvet last night for the first time. We're doing a Dennis Hopper spotlight over on our blog and I took it. Worth seeing, but I didn't feel the love that other critics did.

I am on a real WWII film kick lately. Watched Stalag 17 on Wednesday, also this week I have watched The Great Escape, The Longest Day, and Valkyrie.

Zombie weekend for me. I watched Diary of the Dead on Friday. Not as good as Dawn or Day, but it was decent enough. Felt a little too much like Blair Witch/Cloverfield with the guy filming everything. The zombies were okay, but looked a little cheap. Thumbs in the middle. On the pro wrestling 5 star scale, this gets **1/2.

Finally checked out Zombieland last night. Very fun movie and I'm upset I waited so long to see it. Loved the Bill Murray stuff. While I don't like running zombies, it really brought the flick back down to earth and added a sense of danger. ****

Can't wait for The Walking Dead series to start.

Oh and we finally saw Toy Story 3 last night. It was one of little man's bday gifts and he loved it until he fell asleep.
