Young Iceman & Iceman will probably get along pretty well; Young Beast and Beast will team up to do sciencey things; Young Cyclops & Cyclops will just yell at each other to try and prove who's the bigger dick.

He's been fuckin up long before this event. Ever since the Morrison days, he's been throwing the X-men in all kinds of inconsistent directions. Cheating on his wife, and making out with Emma in front of her grave, allowing the school to become an interment camp, banishing Xavier just for keeping secrets, disbanding the X-men, and then slowly letting them find their own way to San Fransisco, making a secret hit squad and acting like he still has the right to judge Xavier for keeping shady secrets, moving them all to a big rock in the ocean, declaring it an isolationist nation that is impossible to self-sustain, allowing one of his best friends to be tortured, utilizing child soldiers, making his own inner-circle of former villains and demons, and lastly hiring a P.R. team to dish out passive aggressive threats, which the first act of AvX proves he can't make good on.

For the last decade Cyclops has single handedly done his best to ruin Xavier's dream, while being completely delusional and self-righteous about it. And I suppose you can blame Apocalypse for tainting his mind right before the Morrison years, if you really want to believe that it's not of his own volition. But the Phoenix is just amplifying the fuck-up that he already was.

So now that everyone is going back to the school that Cyclops is no longer in charge of, and the X-men are back to living Xaviers dream, thanks to the school that Wolverine built... yeah, without a doubt, Cyclops is going to have to face the facts that he fucked up. And I don't want him to die, before I see that look on his face.

Wow! Now that is some heated Cyclops hatred. I feel like I just watched a political commercial.

So I asked again, where did Cyclops F up and not were you disagree with his methods. This sounds like biased arguments that leaves out keys facts about his decisions and ignores the fact that Cycke got shit done. They might not have been popular descions but he did get results and defended his race while protecting humans at the same time to the best of his abilities. All leaders make mistakes(Wolverine included!!!) and Cyclops has definitely not been perfect(like all heroes) but to call him a Fuck up his dead wrong and you know that CIB. Besides if he did everything right were would the drama that makes it entertaining to read comics come from. If someone else was the leader then they'd make wrong descions at times to (like wolverine has already done) to make it interesting.

Don't forget Cyclops was mad at Xavier for his leadership mistakes and ideas just like Wolverine is now mad at Scott.

Remember- don't hate, congratulate. :)

Now how about that All-new X-men.

To keep it short and simple, he fucked up by making the X-men isolationist. For everything he does right as a field leader, it's was wrong and unnecessary to do that.

Now I admit that I love to hate Cyclops. It's a vice of mine. He's the greatest antagonist Wolverine has ever had, with Sabertooth in a distant second. I love cheering the hero and booing the heel, and since they are both figments of someone's imagination, I don't see the harm in it. So I admit that I have a bias... but I'm not wrong.

It's inevitable that he is going to see how his actions have led the X-men down the wrong path, and how Wolverine brought it back. Just you watch. The very panel where Cyclops realizes "oh my god. I fucked up! Wolverine was right!" That's going to be my next avatar.

Holy Balls we've got some heated Cyclops discussion....Sure, he's made mistakes, but who hasn't? I get tired of hearing the kid thing between Cyke and Wolvie....talk about some forced crap and bad writing......Because Wolverine didn't drag Jubilee around for years on extremely dangerous missions...........because Wolverine didn't drag lindsay mccabe around with him in madripoor.....(ok, not a kid, but still a defenseless 20 something blonde..) I'm just saying we've seen wolvie bring some kids around....how bout power pack too!
They really could have used something better to seperate the teams....but whatever.

Scott is definitely a tragic hero caught in a catch-22.....and yeah, a lot of it is his own fault.....but the cards he was dealt weren't exactly a straight flush either....I think he's playing his hand the best he can at this point (aside from avx stuff)....

Scott may not have cheated on jean if she wasn't always romancing wolverine and vice versa too.....even when she returns for the first time and the x men meet up during inferno.....wolvie plants a big one on her.....and she says to herself...."oh, that kiss!".....come on man......if I was cyke, i'd be sick of that crap too and take the hot blonde thats interested in me....its not like jean was innocent is my point.

If you remember correctly, jean cheated on Scott first, with wolverine, in the first joe Casey issue. 394 or somewhere around there.

Listen, as much as I like to talk shit about Cyclops, I know that it is a decision made upon the writers over the last decade to make him tragically flawed. I just happen to like it. But all I want now is to see him admit that he fucked up, and that Wolverine was right. Once he has done that, and gone through his "road to redemption" story, maybe the writers will stop treating him like such a dick, and then the X-men we'll all be back at the mansion again, full circle. He's just a dude who hasn't been humbled before, like a guy who's never been punched in the face. He's young leader inexperienced at the kind of moves he's been making, but it's a learning experience. I just want to see him learn, y'know? He's not going to stop being written like a dick until he does.

Avengers relaunch covers:

AvX is really taking the "You got peanut butter in my chocolate" thing all the way. Not only do we get Uncanny Avengers (which I'm actually looking forward to), we're getting more X-Men in the regular Avengers book.

I see Cannonball and Sunspot in there. :) The dudes happen to be two of my favorite new generation X-Men. Unfortunately, it seems like they're always treated like junior-league heroes when they're hanging with Old-School X-Men like Cyclops, Beast, etc.

I'm pleased to see them get the chance to do their thing without any New Mutants baggage tying them down. :)

There's a lot of super-crotch thrusting on those covers.
