I believe a man lost in the mazes of his own mind may imagine that he's anything.

I watched the Muppets over the weekend.

What a great, great, wonderful movie. Especially for someone who grew up watching, and loving, the Muppet Show.

If we're not one, but two, are we evil or good? Do we walk the fine line that we'd cross if we could?

Arrrgh!

Got half way through a preview screening of "the Raid" a month before it's due over here and some numpty broke the fire alarm glass so we had to evacuate and the rest of the film had to be scrapped! bunch of arse! hopefully the cinema will re-schedule if not i'll have to wait till next month

Grrrrr

EDIT: just noticed this was my 100th post :D
Considering how long I've been on these boards I'm hoping that means i don't post often but when i do it's worth it

I'm shocked how much I loved MI:4. I barely like the series, and am not a huge fan of Tom Cruise.

Carnival of Souls the original. One of the few pre-1968 horror movies I enjoy. If you haven't seen it goto archive.org and download it. The film is in the public domain, and plays out like a longer episode of the Twilight Zone.

Mothers Day-This is the 2009 remake. Decent film, but I am still wondering why it took so long to come out in region 1.

In one weekend I saw Moonrise Kingdom, Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, and That's My Boy. Moonrise is an innocent, and at times fun, coming of age story. You have to like the Wes Anderson model of filmmaking to truly appreciate this one, because it is saturated in his style. I enjoyed the hell out of it though. Best Exotic is good, but not the great film I was hoping for. I love Tom Wilkinson, but he is under used here. Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, and Bill Nighy are perfection, while Dev Patel leaves a bit to be desired. The movie wraps up too neatly for my taste, but it's still a pleasant movie going experience. That's My Boy is pure excrement. I don't think I've disliked a film this much, in a long time. It isn't even remotely funny, which is a shame considering some of the talented folks attached to it.

Moonrise- 4 1/2 (out of 5) pitchforks
Best Exotic- 3 1/2 pitchforks
That's My Boy- 0 pitchforks

Watched a couple of vampire movie remakes Saturday. Fright Night, with Colin Farrell, was a decent horror flick, but missing a lot of the camp of the original. David Tennant brought the awesome in the last 3rd of the film, but the movie was still just alright.

Let Me In, the American version of Let The Right One In, was really good, but falls short of the original. Pretty much everything in the Swedish version is present, if not quite in the same order. I liked the setting, but it felt very different than the Stockholm setting from Right One. Not quite as good, but very strong. 8/10

I recently watched Underworld series and I'm not a huge fan of that series but I really enjoyed this entry of Underworld Awakening 2012. Mindless, non-stop action, super violent and makes good use of 3D. Well worth the matinee price I paid.
