I have a Yoda from this line coming. I almost got the Boba Fett, but passed for now. I have not received the Yoda yet. I'll report back when it comes in.

I got a TRU email recently that had a link to look through the big toy book ad they put out and there was a $50 off coupon for the star wars multi-troop transport droid carrier toy from episode one

Disney buys Lucasfilm and will make episode 7 and on??? This is huge news or the greatest prank of all times.
We may finally get the original release of the film on Blu Ray because all Disney will see is dollar signs not artist vision.
I live close to Disney World so if they build a Star Wars land I will move into that joker.

So here is some big news that is probably not too surprising except for what it potentially might mean for us fans:

Disney buys Lucasfilm for $4 billion
The Walt Disney Company has agreed to acquire Lucasfilm Ltd. in a stock and cash transaction. Lucasfilm is 100% owned by Lucasfilm Chairman and Founder, George Lucas.

Disney buying Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Disney is paying $4.05 billion to buy Lucasfilm Ltd., the production company behind "Star Wars," from its chairman and founder, George Lucas. It's also making a seventh movie in the "Star Wars" series called "Episode 7," set for release in 2015, with plans to follow it with Episodes 8 and 9 and then one new movie every two or three years.

The reports are all over so it appears to be true, not a hoax.

Lucas was quoted as saying that it's time for the next generation to take the franchise and see what they can create. I think he got tired of the fandom always being on him.

Some articles state that Disney said there will be a new Star Wars series starting in 2015, but does not state that it will be episodes 7, 8, and 9, and they don't state that one will come out each year. I think that's just fanboy wishings.

I'm not even sure what to think right now. I'm a huge Disney nerd, almost as much as I am a Star Wars fan.

I mean..I'm in shock. Honest to god shock right now.

Can't wait till Princess Leia is inducted as a Disney Princess. The Boba Fett meet and greets at the park will be fun

I think this could be tremendously good but I'm nervous as can be.

I also wonder what this is going to mean for organizations like the 501st, Rebel Legion and Mando Mercs. I wonder if Disney will allow us to operate with an official sanction.

A few things
1. I think Star Wars Celebration will be folded into Star Wars Weekend and expanded.
2. Dark Horse will loose the license and Marvel will once again publish Star Wars comics.
3. We are one step closer to getting Muppets Babies on DVD

If they did that that with Star Wars Weekends they'd either do it the weekend before or the weekend after Celebration. They would never do it at the exact same time. You'd loose out on people going into the parks otherwise.

The more I digest this, the more I like it. A true Star Wars land at the parks finally like the rumors that have been circulating for awhile.

You should see the panic on the 501st forums right now, it's hilarious.
