Loved these two issues. Allred is one of my favourites. I've never been a big fan of Davis but it looks good on the FF. Hopefully Fraction doesn't peter out like he did on X-Men. Loved the scene between She Hulk and Thing where he says, hey need you for like four minutes but maybe forever, lol, it sounded like a humble proposal. Economics and better cohesion might make me an FF lover more than an X-Men lover.

Three drunks play Axis & Allies and foolishly record it

I really enjoyed every issue reviewed in this episode. 5 stars all around.

Fantastic Four number 1 was a solid start. I love Bagley's art. I'm also glad Fraction is giving the series a fresh start without ignore all the cool things Hickman set up.

I really loved FF1. Fraction and Allred were made for this book. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they can do.

Fantastic Four Annual#1 is where I really fell in love with Jack Kirby. I prefer his 70s work, but this issue blew me away. All that underwater technology was a lot of fun. Great stuff.

Fantastic Four #21 was also a blast. It introduced Hitler (or a Hitler lookalike) to the Marvel Universe. Super heroes need a Hitler to beat up. It's perfect.

Good stuff guys. I would call Fraction's issues both a 4/5 for me.

Can't quite get to "masterpiece" for FF #1. It was quite good, but I did feel the four minute conceit was a bit too obvious to use as a hook. It's just setup because we all know that will go wrong otherwise issue 2 would be "okay, we're back. Thanks guys." As entertaining as the pages with the kids were, replacing one or two of them with foreshadowing of an impending threat to come in future issues would have made it as 5/5 for me.

I would imagine reprint material in an annual would actually add more value in 1963 than it does now. In the absence of collected editions, digital services, and stores with longboxes full of back issues, reprints were probably one of the few alternatives for a fan wanting to read old stories.
Wait - Rictor was his boyfriend's mother's obstetrician?!?

Great episode you guys. Really funny.

I do like Bagley, but... I dug his work on ult Spider-Man, but everything else suffers in comparison. It is still good, but not his best. Also, everyone looks like a teenager/young adult.

Also, the back issues are hilarious ha.
