just read nightwing#15,batgirl#15,batman and robin#15,and detective comics#15. i have to say this is one hell of a story and they were all great issues with detective prolly being the weakest of them all.cant wait to see how all this ends. a great twist would be that it wasnt the joker at all but a copy cat!!! just my opinion
I believe a man lost in the mazes of his own mind may imagine that he's anything.

I just read a big Avengers Hardcover that covered both the Avengers and New Avengers first story arcs for the Heroic Age (post Siege).

Avengers: It was an interesting story, which turned out being a story similar to Groundhog day or some episodes of Star Trek, with a group of characters caught in a time loop and having to solve it. I remember looking at issues of this storyline in the stores and being annoyed/confused because the same thing seemed to be happening every time I opened a book. lol

New Avengers: The New Avengers go legit and move into the Avengers mansion. The get pulled into a magic based storyline centered around Doctor Strange and Doctor Voodoo. I'm not much into magic but it was interesting. One of the highlights is Luke Cage buying the Avengers Mansion from Tony Stark for a dollar.

I have been busy reading a trade lately along with my issues that I'm reading.

I'm reading the Original Clone Saga trade, which is the first appearance of clones done of Gwen Stacy and such that was what inspired the 90s clone saga story. It's Spidey stories from the 1970s, so they have their campy moments where the narrator talks to the reader. But the art is good and the story is done very well. I am about 6 issues into it. I have a LOT more to go before I'm done with this trade, but so far enjoying it.

After I am done with this, I will be starting the 90s Clone Saga trades. I have never read this story and I have the 5 volumes title Clone Saga Epic. Looking forward to reading that. After that I will be jumping into the Complete Ben Reilly volumes.

I figured it was a good time to read these stories since it all led to another time that Spider-Man was not Peter Parker.

I've been reading some of that old classic Spider-Man stuff, along with the post Brand New Day stuff (I refuse to pay money for One More Day). The original clone saga is supposed to be really good and I want to read it.

Amazing Spider-man is still a little so/so with me. It's interesting that they're taking Spider-Man in a bold new direction, but weren't they doing that with the Iron Spider-man pre-Civil War, and with the unmasked Spider-man during Civil War?

Are we going to see another One More Day story that erases everything since the last one? Maybe Mary Jane makes a deal with the Beyonder this time, or Aunt May makes a deal with Galactus and becomes the Golden Oldie again to fix Peter and Mary Jane's lives. lol

Can't Aunt May die already?? She's like 157 years old. Let the sweet old lady rest in peace.

I picked up New Avengers #1, Justice League Dark #15 and Cable & X-Force #2 this week.

New Avengers- Black Panther led Illuminati with Jonathan Hickman writing; this is worth $3.99.

Justice League Dark #15- Continues the teams quest to find Zatanna. I am a big super hero team fan and I find JLD is better than Justice League right now.

Cable & X-Force #2 - The story isn't really interesting me, so I will be dropping the book.

I have all 3 issues, but have not read any yet. I did flip through New Avengers so far and the art looked awesome.

Justice League Dark I dropped to go to trades with it (not because I didn't like it), but with Constantine #1 coming out soon, I figured I would jump back on to issues. I had up to issue #9, and my LCS had issues 12 through 15. Now I just need to get 10, 11, and the Annual, and I can get myself caught up.

I liked Cable & X-Force #1 okay enough to keep going, but it's not high on my list of titles. I like a lot of the characters in it though like Forge, Domino, and Dr. Nemesis. So we'll see how long I pick it up for.

So I went to another comic shop today (the best one we have, but it's an extra hour round trip travel from my usual place I go to on the way home from work), and they had the Justice League Dark issues I needed to get caught up. So now I'll be able to read 10-15 plus the Annual. Looking forward to that.

In other good news, I got some splurge money from my in-laws this holiday and I used that to get Saga issues #2-7 that I found on EBay for $44 (not too bad for all first prints). I also found a great condition first print of Saga #1 on EBay for $42, which is on its way to me (bought that with the money I made selling some Spider-Man comics). I have a third printing edition of Saga #1, and I was just okay on it after a few pages so I never went further with it. Then I heard from so many people how awesome it is, and even heard some people say if you like Star Wars, then you'll like Saga. So I gave #1 another go, and it was great. So I got issues 2-7 in the mail today (looking forward to reading those) and pre-ordered 8-11 through DCBS. I wanted to get a first print of #1 though since I had first prints of the other ones and it seems like they are just increasing in value. So great comic story that holds a good value for later in its longevity (hopefully)? Sounded like a good plan.

Will be digging into #2-7 in the upcoming days.

I didn't know Saga 1 was up in value already! Maybe I should bag and board that shit lol. I love Saga. Definitely in my top 5 right now, maybe my favorite current comic overall.

Last night I read a couple more Marvel Now issues...at least they were Marvel Now issues when they started.

Avengers #2 - I liked this issue a lot better than #1. I was a bit more iffy and confused with the first issue. This issue gave an explanation of who the big bads were and their origins. Also got a fun recruitment montage of pages. Seems like the next issue will have some good action going on.

All-New X-Men #4 - Still really loving this title. It was cool to hear all the thoughts going on through Scott's head as he was looking at his past self. I was glad to see the original five return back to the school and for Hank to start work on saving his future self.

Looking forward to reading more stuff tonight.

I was looking forward to Young Avengers making a return. However the new line-up combined with the horribly cartoon style art is sadly most likely going to make me pass.

Being stuck in bed has afforded me some reading time:

Cobra #20: Oktober Guard has connection to the Arashikage? Interesting. Mike Costa continues to kill me with what he's doing on this book.

Snake Eyes #20: Wow, what a mess. I've never seen Scarlett and Helix drawn like Playmates before (note to Mr. Cal: neither of them are built that way, much have identical physiques like they did here), but the busts they were a slingin' in this one. Glad this book is almost over.

Activity #10: Great stuff as always.

The Losers Book One: Picked this up while home for Christmas. It's the first 12 issues of the Andy Diggle/Jock version of "The Losers," and I really enjoyed it. Yes, I'm 6 years behind, sorry.

Daredevil #1-4: I picked up these issues of the new Mark Waid run during Christmas as well. I've not read DD since Frank Miller was writing in the 80s. I enjoyed what I read, didn't feel like I was missing anything in order to catch up. The art is really nice, too. Will try to pick up the other issues as I really want to see Samnee's work on the book.

GI Joe "Day in the Life of Springfield": This was one of the 2 pack books that Jeremy Dale drew. The story was bad, just bad. I'll never look at it again.

Okay that interior art gives me some hope. Though, like you Ryan, I will miss Stature and Patriot. After seeing that cartoony art, I was afraid they were going to make it a bad knock off of the Teen Titans cartoon that use to run on Cartoon Network.
