Kitty leading the old X-Men makes sense. I have no opinion on Ape-Beast 2.0. I never really minded Lion-Beast either. I'm still invested in the story, but I'm debating switching to trade to avoid the slow pace. Overall, this series has been really fun. The art is the real star here.

For some weird reason the first thing I thought to call this new take on Hank was Vamp Beast. The pointy ears and the nose made me think if you combined an ape with a vampire bat.

And yes, that double-page spread with Jean was MAD beautiful.

I am going to marry this book. It is just so good!

The double page Jean page will sell for so much £££!

I like that this means we essentially have our Jean back as she knows everything that happened to her.

Good point! This is how you do it and make it not bullshit. Well, it's still time travel bullshit but not cocoon or clone bullshit.

They did bring in a less powerful Darwin if you read Scott's comments on the new mutie right, lame, but everything else about this book is amazing.

Loved the callback to Xavier's mind wipes. Priceless.

Three drunks play Axis & Allies and foolishly record it

Are we going to leave anything from Morrison's run or is Marvel that determined to get rid of everything him. Next will je Marvel Boy dying in Young Avengers.

It's been almost ten years since the Morrison run ended. Was Claremont keeping stuff from 1975 in the x-men he wrote in 1985? No, he changed that shit up.

It's known that Joe Q. Wasn't fond of Morrison. After his run M-Day was used to wipe out his Mutant boom. Beast being decat was suppose to happen back in Fraction's run (during the Dark Avengers crossover) but was changed last minuet when he found out who would be drawing Beast in SWORD. Emma Scott break up. I'm calling it now that we'll see the secondary mutantions go away. Emma will be because of the Phoenix Five power drain, and Angel will be when he runs out of power.

And honestly, I think Claremont forgot half the shit he did ten years later. Hell even know he doesn't know the answers to half the plot threads he left.

But back on topic. I'm liking this series. I was expecting hokey time travel nonsense but this is actually well done for a change.

This is the first 'X' book i've read for many years, the vast number of books and continuity having previously kept me away. It's successfully re-introducing me to the core characters and i don't feel 'lost' at all. (i read AvX so that probably helps). Gonna pick up Uncanny X-men too.
