Here's my comic list for the week.

Mega Man 21
Superior Spiderman #1
TMNT color Classics # 7
TMNT - The Secret History of the Foot Clan #1
Animal Man #16
Swamp Thing #16
Earth 2 #8
The Legend of Luther Strode #2

Runner up Pick of the Week
Superior Spider-man #1
I enjoyed seeing Spider-man (I mean Spider-man not Peter Parker) taken in a new direction. Anyone worried about Peter Parker it is clear Slott has a back up plan in place if Superior Spider-man sales take a down turn. I will pick up issue two.

Pick of the Week
TMNT- The Secret History of the Foot Clan #1
The TMNT comic license must never leave IDW; they have such a good gasp on the turtles mythos. Start to finish this was a good tale of the ancient foot clan. After seeing the revel on the last page, I can't wait for issue two.

Mega Man #21
This is one of the best all ages comic series on the market. If my nephew ever became interested in comics this is the series I would start him with. I appreciate that Archie makes it easy to jump on by doing more one issue arcs. Issue #21 is about Mega Man having to stop a bomb from going off on New Years Eve. There's action and comedy and the Blue Bomber saves the day at the end. What else do you need?

Batman #16
New Avengers #2
Ame-Comi Girls #4 Featuring Power Girl
Saga (TPB)
Mega Man - Spiritus Ex-Machina (TPB)

Runner Up Pick of the Week
Ame-Comi Girls #4
I been enjoying this series. It's a fun read because of the goofiness of the writing and the art.

Pick of the Week
New Avengers #2
More Illuminati Fun!! :D

After reading New Avengers #2, a thought came to mind. Spider-man should be on Illuminati. Each member of Illuminati represents a team/part of the Marvel Universe.

Reed- FF and Cosmic universe
Black Blot - Inhumans and Cosmic Universe
Doctor Strange - Magic
Iron Man and Captain America - Avengers
Namor -Atlantis
Black Panther -Wakanda

Spider-man could represent the street level heroes (Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Misty Knight). After the whole Superior Spider-man fiasco is done and Peter Parker is back in the saddle this would be the next logical step. Spider-man has always been the flag ship character to the public but he's never got a big role in the comics. If Illuminati is suppose to be the Marvel Universe think tank, there's no reason he should be be there.

On No Apologies one of the theories for the end of Superior Spider-man is the character would be back as the public menace he was in the 60s. I don't want to see that. I want Spider-man to go forward not back wards. Hopefully Marvel will do the right thing regarding Spider-man

"The Pubic Menace" sounds like an adult film parody Star Wars title. Darrell, does that exist? :D

The Saga TPB was great read. I would get the single issues, but if the trade is going to stay priced at $9.99 I will just wait for the trade.

Justice League #16
Wonder Woman #16
Avengers # 3
Uncanny X-Force #1
TMNT: The Secret History of the Foot Clan # 2
Young Avengers # 1
Frankenstein: Agent of Shade #16
Thor #1-#4

Runner Up Pick of the Week

Uncanny X-Force #1
I am not the biggest X-men fan but I've always enjoyed the Uncanny X-Force series. Issue one was a fun read. Some bonding moments with Storm and Psylocke. The re-introduction of some less known characters from the X-Universe in the name of Spiral and Puck. It kept with the tone of previous series; fast action and snappy dialogue. The only two criticism I can see is; Sam Humphries decided to give Psylocke a potty mouth. If this was Wolverine I would understand, but Psylocke has never been a character that swears this much. The other issue is the relationship displayed on the last page. I don't know what to categorize that as. Otherwise it was a good read.

Wonder Woman #16
Wonder Woman continues to be one of the benefits of the New 52. I like the idea of Diana bring a Demi-God instead of a being of clay. One major problems of Wonder Woman of the past has been her lack of supporting and villain characters. Now that the Gods of Olympus are her relatives that problem is no more. In this issue it continue the storyline of Wonder Woman searching for her friend's stolen baby. It appears the child has a big destiny which could bring upon a threat to the universe.

Avengers #3
Captain America lead his team of Avengers back to Mars and freed the captured heroes and defeated Aleph, Ex Nihilo and Abyss. Good end to Hickman's first Avengers arc.

Pick of the Week

Justice League #16
There have been two characters that have benefited from the New 52; that's Wonder Woman and Aquaman. Through the Aquaman and Justice League titles DC has made Aquaman into a badass. The Throne of Atlantis shows why the Atlantians are not a race you want to mess with. Orm (aka Oceanmaster) took down most of the Justice League by himself. I was close to dropping this title before this storyline started. I hope Aquaman is the one to end this war and not Batman. I like Batman but I feel at times DC holds Batman at such high regard in expense to the other heroes. I will be looking forward to Aquaman #16.

GI Joe #21: Wow, what an uninspired ending to this "season" of Joe! A weak one off that doesn't do anything to see up the Van Lente book. Disappointing to say the least.

Cobra #21: Not sure what it is about the final issues of IDW verse books, but this was not nearly as good as the last few issues. I did like the new "friendship" that's bound to cause trouble in Cobra Files later this year. I'd also like more of Costa's Oktober Guard down the road if possible.

Just picked up the Trade Xenozoic. OMG this is such a cool book!

Post apocalyptic world where dinosaurs roam the wastelands. Some of the best artwork I have ever seen in a comic. Everything about this book is superb. I highly highly recommend it.
