Thanks for getting this episode out, on my way up to the comic shop right now and I'm sure more thoughts to follow after I listen to the podcast. It's going to be a great Wedneday!

Another really entertaining episode guys. I liked the opening discussion about digital comics and if when you purchase a digital comic if you actually own said comic vs do you just have rights to view that comic through the selected media service. I know that he is a lawyer but I was really impressed by Chris Campbell's legal knowledge especially in the arena of ownership rights. I have bought plenty of issues on Comixology and I could totally see how people would be extremely pissed if that service went belly up and they lost all those comics. I was reading a lot of digital comics but I have gone back to print just in case I want to reread something again.

I really enjoyed the segment about comic runs that the guys own but have not read. I have to say that I'm with Chris on this one. I oftentimes buy books for fear of them going out of print because that $40 hardcover just turned into a $120 one once it goes out of print. I also buy hardcovers like Chris because I like the collectablity of them and I don't like how trades curl and start to fall apart sometimes even on one reading (in some rare cases). For example, I have bought Walking Dead and Invincible series in trade and then sold them to my LCS to put the dollars towards the hardcovers. I tried to go back to reading trades because they are slightly cheaper but InstockTrades changed the game because the hardcovers are only a few dollar more expensive; I would rather pay the money for a better constructed product. I defiantly buy collected editions to read them but I must admit that there is a certain collectablity about a hardcover collecting. I differ from Chris because a majority of the hardcovers that I own and need to read I have already read previously in single issues; I just want to enjoy them again. I loved listing to Darrell's disgust with Chris having all these hardcovers and not read a majority of them. All and all just my thoughts about a great comics discussion to listen to in the morning! ;)
