I heard an interview with Hal Sparks where he said he was interested in doing Iron Fist. I know he is a Martial Artist.

it'd be more believable to have a martial artist play the part...but i think acting chops and charisma should be paramount. as for who i think would be great for it...i don't know just yet. i hope they use the 'last iron fist story' by fraction and brubaker as the story template. which would feature appearances of luke cage, misty knight and colleen wing! PERFECT!!

I gotta go with Bradley Cooper.
He has got the physical look and can pull of Rand's humor as well.
Does He know kung-fu? No. He can learn enough to get by. Stunt guys and CG can handle the rest.

Love Ray Park but he just can't act...which is all good and well when he's playing the grouchy bad-guy type but as a leading man just wouldn't work.
I'd be ok with an unknown, keep the costs down and find someone who can do a bit of both acting and fighting and work from there.

I like Matt Damon a lot but I am not sure I can see him as Danny Rand. No sure who I want to see in the part but Damon is a little to big I could have seen Brad Pitt about 15 years ago but not anymore.
