Top 5 Video Games

Postby BillETM » Wed Aug 04, 2010 9:29 am

What are your top 5 video games that you can pop in and play for hours?

Here is my list:
1. World of Warcraft (this can go on for days if I didn't limit myself)
2. Medieval Total War II
3. Final Fantasy X (Blitz Ball Rules!)
4. Marvel vs Capcom 2 (3 may over take this one the way it's looking so far)
5. Final Fantasy Tactics

I hope the new Madden is different a little at least.

Mega Man 1 and 2(super challenging and super awesome)
Legend of Zelda 1, 3 and Twilight Princess(Epic fun)
Super Mario Bros 1 and 3(perfect platformers)
Final Fight(Mostly all of the old Capcom beat'em ups)
Spider-Man for Dreamcast(I played the Holy Hell outta that game)
Star Wars:Dark Forces series

Madden will be the same crap as it is every year, another difficult to play, half decent looking football sim with 1 minor tweak here or there. Boring.
Modern Warfare 2 is fun, but my God it is so very cheap sometimes with the awful hit detection and spawns that result in instant deaths, not to mention the modded game cheating that runs rampant in the playing community.
"I believe in Rock And Roll!"

"The Gods you worship are steel,
At the altar of rock 'n' roll you kneel.
A slave who forever rocks,
Is chained in the devil's locks,
And slain by the bloody axe I wail!"

5. Asteroids

Mine are all old school. Back when you had to go to the arcade to play video games. :)

I played the demo for the new madden, Gameflow is nice but I'm not buying it this year, and I was happy to make it through the demo without wanting it. I just wish they'd offer like a $10 roster update or something.

Again, just off the top of my head....

1. C&C:Red Alert
2. Star Wars Battlefront
3. Rock Band / Guitar Hero (All the same to me!)
4. Tetris
5. Many/any tower defence games

As evidenced by the top two games on my list, I don't buy many games, but the one's I do buy, I certainly get my money's worth from!! :) I still crack out the top two games when I have a few minutes to spare!!
BE EXCELLENT TO ONE ANOTHER......

Wow. Pretty tough to narrow down.

Ms. Pac Man (Arcade)
Castlevania (NES)
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2)
The Legend of Zelda (NES)
Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - Really would like this and Ico to get the God of War high-def remastered treatment.

1. Batman: Arkham Asylum (Sure it was short but it was a lot of fun)
2. COD4/ Modern Warfare 2 (Like them for the same reason so I am not going to break them out, I have played a ton)
3. Left4Dead Series (I love Zombies and I love shooting things nuff said)
4. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (The best of this series to date, Might have been the first game I beat)
5. Warcraft 2 (Loved the game and played it a ton)

I generally tend to focus on the current generation because even though I have been gaming since the late 80's/ early 90's I would say that the current generation is where I became more of a gamer.
Also if it wasn't so new I would probably put Red Dead on this list.
