Great Superhero/Comic Novels?

Postby Steeven » Fri Sep 10, 2010 5:14 pm

OK, so I'm looking for some novels to read, but novels featuring comic book characters.

For example:

I've read and and I really enjoyed them and want to read more stuff like that.

Any suggestions?

Oooh, I'll have to try and find that at Half Price Books . . . my library doesn't have it.

Good suggestion!

One of my favorites of that kind is Batman: Dead White, by John Shirley, which is about Batman trying to stop a new villain, the psychopathic, gargantuan Neo-Nazi called White Eyes, from destroying Washington DC.

Damn! My library doesn't have that either!

Another one to look for at Half Price Books.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Oh yeah, before I forget. The 30 Days of night franchise also has a series of novels too.

I forgot that I also borrow Kevin J Anderson's Last Days Of Krypton from the library. It was good.

Listening to the Audiobook of It's Superman. Enjoying it so far. A few things that diverge from what I'm used to, but good nonetheless.

I'm not a fan of Daredevil Cutting Edge. I'd recommend Ultimate Spider-Man and the sequel Untold tales of Spider-Man.

Boulevard Books had an extensive line of Marvel prose novels back in the 1990's. For instance, Peter David wrote Hulk: What Savage Beast. Good stuff for the most part

Cool thread idea! There are some really cool suggestions here. :)

A few that I've enjoyed-

Hellboy: Natural Selection, Hellboy: Bones Of Giants, Hellboy: The Lost Army and The Ultimates: The Tomorrow People.

Anyone read the Wolverine novel Weapon X?
