wow I have to say I was quite please at issue 5.Didnt see that coming. Uncanny was pretty good as well, seeing how it played out from different characters point of view. The Unit is a manipulative piece of poo, he made me laugh when he said he didn't like Hope.Doesnt look like his plan played out.My fave was probably W&XM, some great lines and Hope was pretty cool with Wolverines abilities.

When did Kenji die?

Kenji died in the second to last Generation Hope if I remember right after he tried to kill her.

Now that was a surprise.

To bad Uncanny spoiled the ending to AvX 5 which pissed me off a little. I have no clue why it had to have that panel at the end anyway.

Right now it looks like Cyclops was right and the Phoniex came to restore the mutants. I'm sure some crazy twist will come a long and it will try to kill all the Avengers or something along those lines though.

It's almost comical how badly there trying to keep Wolverine in the right at all times. He's already switched back and forth 50 times wether he's going to kill Hope or not.

He's the best at what he does, and what he does is be indecisive.

My Question on the whole Wolverine matter is this why did'nt the Phoenix engulf him if you will? According to Stark he blew it up(was it that he was to far away) You figure it would look for one of the most powerful mutants. Just seems to me it looks like they left him out because once again Wolverine is gonna clean up house.

It left him alone because he couldn't make up his mind about it. :)

But really it didn't go into him because he was I think...I think trying to kill Hope and hold back evolution in the Phoenix eyes. It only wanted mutants loyal to it's cause.

agreed ^^^ according to the story in uncanny the Phoenix force chose the people who followed the chosen one.wolverine didn't chose hope.plus he was in a weakened burned up state who'd want to power that up haha.

I wonder what Scott & the Phoenix Five's next move will be? And will they be the ones making the decision on the next move, or are they now puppets of the Phoenix?

My guess is their puppets of the Phoenix now.

LOL I'm listening to that episode right now :D :D

I really want to like AvX, but the cat on iFanboy pretty much summed up how I feel about the series right now.

Well Boys, what did you think? I liked the latest issue....although I'm confused on the whole Scarlet Witch not being able to be touched deal...
The opening page with Erik welcoming Charles was the best art I've seen in this whole damn series...albeit I am a huge Magnus fan....just a sweet shot though with the utopia behind him....and the welcoming....good stuff.
Would have liked to have seen more of X in this, but oh well...
Picked up the latest versus issue as well.....ehhh. At least the x'ers are finally getting some wins in after horrible defeats of magnus and namor.
Whats everyone elses take? I havn't been able to get the last two sets of side issues, just the main story...was X in any of those...someone tell me!

I liked issue 6. I was hoping for a major shake-up in the status quo, and I guess the whole Phoenix-5 re-making the world in their image thing works. The whole kung-fu twist threw me a little. I skipped the New Avengers tie-in that seemed to focus on Iron Fist and a phoenix dream-sequence. It looks like that issue might have been more than just filler. This issue also made me actually care about what Wanda's been up to, and what she plans on doing.

avx 0 was great, but since issue 1, i've hated it. every issue since has been plagued by stupid fights. a good fight needs to be powered by a good conflict, and when the conflict is unbelievable, the fight is essentially a circus act. anyway, issue 6 was Amazing. Tons of conflict, yet no fights! brilliant! and having Olivier Coipel draw x-men and avengers together... nothing's been that awesome since House of M...

It's the best AvX issue so far for sure. I have some questions about the plot though. Wasn’t the whole point of the Phoenix coming to Earth supposed to be that Cyclops thought it was going to save the mutant race and bring them back from the brink of extinction? Now that they have the Phoenix power are they using it to do anything at all to stop the extinction of the mutant race and restart mutant births? Nope, just making a prefect Earth Utopia instead. Uhhhhhh? It kind of fells like a weird turn like AvX has had so far. I guess this is there way of padding out the issues.

Well with power comes great responsibility. I think cyclops is just showing the world what they can do.it almost like what was just happening on amazing spiderman with Doc Ock.

he did get a little scared of wanda though

Those "Phoenix 5" costumes are awful. (Also, "Phoenix 5" is a terrible name.) Cyclops is wearing a g-string over his leather pants, and stole Nightwing's shirt.

This series is just too long. The amount of stuff that's happened in 6 issues could easily have been done in 3-4.

And another thing, why's Wolverine back with the Avengers? Did he forget about Captain America throwing him off an airborne plane? I mean, he healed up fine, sure, but that's still gonna hurt.
