The only Avengers I've ever given a crap about before this series of movies were Capt America and Thor. Mostly I think because in my younger, svelter days I got called Thor a lot because of my size and hair. I've never really picked up any of the comics as I was always an X-Men guy. My brother read them but not me. I care about Iron Man and Hulk now because of the great job the actors did with them and for the first time ever I thought Hawkeye was more then just a lame looking character in purple that shot arrows. I wish they had done more with him in the movie but the short explanation they did as to how he got his arrows tipped the way they end up was neat and made me find him interesting.

Hawkeye and Cap are my 2 favorite Avengers. I guess I enjoy the Robin Hood type characters because I like Green Arrow also.

I LOVED this movie. I thought it was the best movie that I have ever seen, superhero and non superhero movie alike. I even said that it was better than the Nolan Batman flicks -- which coming from me is saying a whole lot.

I really liked this movie. However, after the "newness" feeling of it washes off, I honestly think that I like the individual ones better (Iron Man 1, Captain America & Thor). This movie is not in my top 5, but a very fun movie and was very cool to see it come together from the individual ones. I can't wait for the next one. I really can't wait for Iron Man 3 next year.

I saw it the first time in IMAX 3D. Second time in regular 2D. Tomorrow I'm going to see it at a Drive-In movie theater. Love this movie!

I saw Avengers at the midnight showing on opening day, and i enjoyed the hell out of it. I saw it again today so that I could actually hear some of the lines that were drowned out by the crowd.

Yes, Hulk snorts and says "Puny God" after going all Droopy on Loki. (If you don't get the reference, watch just about any droopy cartoon on youtube. )

A couple of thoughts: ((WARNING SPOILERS BELOW!!!))

- The guys on Comic Geek speak brought up a good idea for Coulson. SHIELD probably has his personality and DNA recorded somewhere (they are SHIELD after all). This could lead to him being used as the Genetic template for a certain synthetic being who later joins the Avengers. I also thought that the "Avengers Tower" could have a Coulson personality rather than a Jarvis.
- Since they spent the last round of movies building up the heroes for the Avengers team, wouldn't it be cool if this round, they built up a villain team. Some one like the Enchantress or another villain working for the major baddy at the end of the Avengers flick could come along in the stinger for each of the movies and recruit the recently defeated bad guys for a new team. This could lead up to a Masters of Evil vs the Avengers clash in Avengers 2 while the big baddy hits Asgard to retrieve another item that is stored in Odin's treasure vault.

I dont think Coulsen ever died but instead sent away so his fake death could spark the Avengers to act

Went to see it again yesterday afternoon, took my wife for his first screening. Still a lot of fun, there were only 10 people in the theatre and everybody laughed and had a good time.

Wifey like it a lot, but she had no clue who the surprise was at the end.

I almost wet myself again when the Helicarrier took off, and I still want a SHIELD figure with the SWAT gear.
